"We have a 1966 home with 19 windows and a front door that have needed replacement for years, but we didn't think we could afford it. About 5 yrs ago we got into, then quickly out of a contract with a co that used the hard sell tactic. So at this point we were wary of dealing with home improvement companies for fear of another pressure sale experience. Encountered Renewal by Andersen by happenstance when we were at our local Plesant's buying wood stain. We decided we had nothing to lose, so we made an appointment to meet with one of their representatives. Tony, our design consultant, arrived on time, and was so laid back and easy to deal with. Our Boxer liked him, which was also a good sign. Tony really knew his product and the industry. He took his time with us, listening to our needs and educating us along the way as we drafted our window plan. We were able to get financing at a super low interest rate of 2.9%. The measure tech team were awesome. They were meticulous - measuring each window twice to ensure a perfect custom fit. These weren't one size fits all windows that come from a warehouse to be installed the next week, so we were totally ok with waiting 2 months for the windows to be custom made for our house. The install team, lead by Daniel, were clearly seasoned, experienced professionals. They got the job done right and kept a clean work site. They skillfully dealt with the challenges our old house gave them, such as a bit of wood rot and a quirky old front door opening, at no extra charge to us. The finished product was amazing! Our old house got the facelift it so badly needed. I hate to even cover the windows with shades or curtains. They're too pretty! Haha! We can't wait to reap the energy savings benefits, either. When we're ready, we definitely plan to reach out to Renewal by Andersen installed by Richmond Window Corp. for our remaining 3 exterior doors."

"I have mixed feelings about this job. The company was extremely patient with the scheduling changes I needed to make because of health issues. However, mode of communication was an issue. Kept calling a cellphone, not in regular use, instead of the landline or the preferred e-mail. Installation was timely, as we had the ice storm soon after, it was also a one-man job and I was amazed at the job he did. He was very professional always measuring twice and sometimes more than that before cutting anything, as despite all the measurements done, the inside core of the door frame needed to be trimmed for the unit to fit. Not sure if that is why once it warmed up, first one-side and now the other side, is not a tight as when originally installed. The also is now an issue with the interior frame, the mitered seam at the top of the door has separated. Another issue was this door was supposed to share a key with the front door as both were Schlage locks and can be rekeyed. A copy of the key was provided prior to the job. This did not happen, nor did the copy come back the day of the install, had to wait for it to be mailed to me. The company tried to rectify both problems, the loosening and they key issue, but not happy with their solutions, as one requires me to complete the job, the other is aesthetic... lack of symmetry, no longer smooth frames on both sides . I like the product's overall appearance, and would repeat the business to ensure uniformity, but given the price, I did expected better. Also would not advise using Mosaic, their finance group. I have issues with a company that mails their statement 4-days after the payment is due, even if 12-months same as cash."

"My first time using Angie's List proved to be well worth it! I saw a deal for replacement windows through American Jewel Window Systems for a pretty good price, 5 windows for $1499. I ordered them and met with Chuck who came to my home to take the initial measurements. He was extremely friendly and knowledgeable! He showed me the options and gave me the estimate. The deal did not include the screens, which cost at an additional $10 each. The following week, the installer came by to take more measurements. Two weeks later, the company called me for an install date. 
The two installers came and were absolutely perfect. They brought in all the supplies, removed the old windows, took caution and placed cloth tarp, installed the new windows, sealed them properly, and cleaned up after themselves. I was amazed at how fast and quietly they worked. What a difference in warmth replacing a few windows can do. The rooms where the windows were replaced were always very cold. Chuck had told me I would see a huge difference when getting rid of my old aluminum ones for brand new vinyl ones. We were so pleased with the initial 5 windows, that we contacted them again and replaced an additional 11 windows in our home. 
I am extremely happy and satisfied with this decision. My house is warmer and I felt that I received a really great deal!

I spoke with the company president who answered all my questions. Compared to other companies that install windows and doors, Window Source didn't use any high pressure sales tactics or gimmicks and offered very fair upfront pricing. The installation was scheduled in advance and the crew arrived on-time (actually a little early) and quickly got to work. They removed the old door/framing, installed the new framing and door and cleaned up in only about 2 hours. The new door looks great, closes smoothly and seals tightly. I'm very happy with Window Source and would definitely use them again."
