"We had Phil from Rafferty Painting here for the last 1.5 days. He made a 5 sided angular box around a fire sprinkler head, covered it with drywall and painted it to perfectly match the wall. He then fixed cracks in the ceiling and painted it to match.(others said it couldn't be matched). He arrived on time, cleaned up after himself and was very friendly and courteous. The final price was comparable to estimates from other contractors and we are happy with his work. I don't know about the other painters/carpenters at Rafferty but I would definitely recommend Phil."

"Emerson Paints: All Sales, No Service If you’re considering Emerson Paints, let me save you the trouble: don’t. I responded to one of their Instagram ads and was immediately bombarded with phone calls—relentlessly. Once I was ready, I called back and scheduled a free estimate. The sales rep they sent was personable, knowledgeable, and assured me he’d been with the company for ten years. That part actually felt promising. He gave us three tiers of service, and my husband and I chose the middle option. I even went to the paint store the next morning to pick out my color. I texted him with my selection and… crickets. Days passed. I followed up. He apologized and promised to get back to me. He didn’t. Eventually, I called the office directly, only to find out we weren’t even on the schedule. That’s when the owner stepped in—sounding every bit the overpromising, fast-talking salesman you hope never to deal with. He assured me we’d be fit in the following week and that he was “putting his very best guy on it.” Then the day arrived… and a truck pulled up with a completely different company name and logo on it. Turns out, Emerson subcontracted the work without telling me. Not even a mention. Total bait and switch. "The office personnel were rude. I got an estimate and then I had to wait until a specific person could schedule the appointment. When I didn't hear from the scheduler, I called several times to try and reach her and she was either out of the office or not available. I didn't understand why the office manager who kept taking my messages for an appointment couldn't schedule the service. When I finally got a hold of her, she was unfriendly and dismissive. I thought her behavior was unwarranted as I didn't complain and tried to make polite conversation. There were three painters who came out to do the work. Overall, they did a good job and were very professional. We had our full bath, powder room and exterior door frame and windows painted. When the paint dried, I noticed some areas that needed to be touched up. The lead painter came back and addressed my concerns and touched up the areas and we were very pleased with the quality of the job."
