"Went great and was a great experience from the sales man to the installation. The salesman wasn’t pushy, didn’t try to up sell us but listened to our needs and reasons for updating. We replaced all our windows that were the original 40 year old aluminum single pane, the original sliding glass door, and had a storm door replaced with a solid door. The installation team was very professional, courteous, and the workmanship looks flawless."

"We met with several roofing companies and decided on an aluminum roof to replace the shingle roof on our house on Anna Maria Island.  Tim, the sales representative met with us and discussed SolarShield's product and installation, etc.  The work started earlier than contracted due to an opening in the schedule and was completed within the week.  The installers were professional and friendly and the area was clean of debris after each day of work.  SolarShield took care of all the permits, removing the existing roof covering, furnished and installed truss straps and fasteners, ridge vent system , insulation, and flashings.  Frank (owner) was available and inspected the workmanship throughout the installation.  He took photos during the process for the insurance company, as well as completed the hurricane wind mitigation report.  The roof looks better than any other metal roof in the area.  We have subsequently had solar panels put on the roof and the installers commented as to how well this roof was installed and that this roof will easily last over 50 years.  Comments like that from installers who are on roofs daily validated that quality of the materials and workmanship of the roof installed by SolarShield.  We would highly recommend SolarShield if you are considering replacement of a roof that will last.

"We ordered about 28 Gorell windows from them for a remodel.  The second floor was completely rebuilt so we had both new construction and replacement windows.  The salesman was very nice, but maybe not so experienced.  He had our blueprint plans to work with, but missed the fact that we needed tempered glass or impact window over the tub to meet code.  He definitely should have known this.  Also, in some places we put 2 windows side by side which requires a mullion (the piece that goes between them to anchor them together).  We got the runaround when we tried to get the mullions from them.  Couldn't get a straight answer out of them, they kind of tried to act like it was something the installer should get and they didn't have them, then they changed their tune and got them for us.  

All in all, we're happy with the windows, just not the company.  Unreturned calls, mistakes, etc.   I'd say if you buy windows from them, let your contractor deal with them and make sure the order is right and complete.

"There was no follow up by the salesman or the company employees. I had to initiate contact many, many times to get the work done. The installers also destroyed my camera which they were using (at my request) to document their work. I was reimbursed for the loss. The installation was done in the first week of January. I called the company again on march 20th to schedule the test . Again, there was no call back, no follow up. They scheduled the test for April 4th. Four months after the work was done!!! The work and the final testing has been done and the work is now complete."

"This was quite a process. We signed with this company during the original visit and then had buyers remorse that we had not gotten other quotes, so we cancelled within the 3 days with no issues and kept in contact with our sales person. This was totally on us as we just wanted peace of mind before such a big commitment as we had 18 windows and a door to be replaced. We did get 2 more quotes, one from a big box retailer (orange) and one from an area competitor (the cookie guy). We were surprised to find out that the price was competitive among-st all 3 only separated really by a few hundred dollars. A lot of items like dual paint colors, single vs double hung etc were standard with HPA but additional cost with the others. The big box once installed you dealt with another company completely on the warranty and the cookie guy was so high pressure and rather than selling themselves spent most of the pitch trying to discredit the others which never sits well with me. HPA was priced right in the middle, financing was flexible (cookie guys did not have many options) the sales guy was personable, patient and no pressure and you call the company with issues, not a 3rd party. I spent a lot of time researching and reading reviews and we chose HPA. Once the windows were in and permitting was complete, they showed up with a huge crew and the installation was completed by 3pm that same day! Other than all new windows and a door, you did not know they were here. Our house was left clean and all old materials hauled away. Final permit sign off was remote due to Covid but was quick and they have since been here to remove all the stickers, install the plugs and thoroughly clean the windows. We just need one piece of trim which was recommended over the plugs for our door which will look more polished. It is an investment for sure but I would recommend this company without hesitation.
