"Custom Wood Fencing had installed my back wood deck, as well as a wood deck that I had around my above ground pool, several years prior. After replacing my above-ground pool with an in-ground pool, I wanted modifications made to my back deck so that it would allow access to my new pool and look like the old part of the deck and the new part were not two separate pieces. John Gannon, the owner, made suggestions and his workers were able to integrate the changes as to make the entire deck as it were built all at one time. It also flows well my concrete pool deck. I would definitely recommend john Gannon and Custom Wood Fencing. Not only does his company do great work, but John has also has made great suggestions and given ideas that we had never thought of. <br />"

"They were excellent to work with.  He was prompt, conscientious about his work and did an excellent job overall.  The painting work was top-notch and we are very happy with the other repairs he helped with.  Scheduling was within a reasonable time frame and he was much more responsive than other contractors I've worked with in the past.  I will definitely be calling him again in the future if we have need of repairs or painting. "

"Duramax got back to me the same day I called and was out the next day to look at the guttering. I got an estimate for the work that day which was reasonable for the work that needed to be done and told them to go ahead with the repair. The crew was out on Monday, less than a week after I had contacted Duramax, and got the majority of the work done that day. There turned out to be some additional damage that needed to be repaired that took a little longer than expected so they finished up this morning (Wednesday - it rained all day Tuesday; gutter was in place they just needed to close up the underside and clean-up). As with the work that they did on the shingled part of the roof I am delighted with the work Duramax has done."

"I'm happy with the end result of the fence but their communication was non-existent and overall customer experience was at best, so-so. The fence itself looks great. They had to push back the start by a few days. That wasn't a big deal. The job was supposed to be 2-3 days but turned into a full week. They explained it was because of the slope of the lawn and additional work to get the fence sections to angle correctly. That confused me because they came out and looked at it prior to provide the quote. They cut my, and my neighbor's, at&t lines. It wasn't their fault since the lines weren't marked but it wasn't until I came outside and told them that my cable was down that they said "oh yeah, we hit this line but figured it wasn't live." Why wouldn't they have come to me immediately and told me? It was the end of the project and tying up loose ends that were the main issues I had. After they had supposedly finished I put together a punch list of items that needed to be taken care of. This includes: * post caps and picket caps not glued properly * gates not aligned properly * gate locks installed upside down * gate bracket on outside of fence * fence sections too tight or too loose Had they taken care of all of these items after I contacted them I would have been happy. The problem is there was no communication. I would go to the backyard and notice that 1 or 2 things had been done but not all even though there had been no communication that they were coming, or came, what they did, when they'll be back, etc. I emailed them again asking for info and clarifying what still remained. I had emails sent from the owner that made me think everything was getting taken care of but, again, I would find 1 thing done, but not all, and no communication. The installation was started the first week of July and the final punchlist wasn't completed until some time in September. They offered to take $100 off my total cost for my issues, a 1.7% discount. Like I said, the fence looks good and I hope that it was installed well but the poor customer service makes me not want to do business with them again. Perhaps this is common in the fence installation industry but it left a bad taste in my mouth."
