"I needed to have a window balance replaced. When he completed the initial estimate, I needed to have two window balances replaced because he broke a second one. I was charged to the parts and labor to replace both. Costs are not disclosed. For example, I was charged $198.89 for MH.MRE.605.0100 and $115.90 for MH.MTA.000.0004. Eventually I found out that the $115.90 was to locate and pick up the parts. There was also a Service Charge. When I asked what that was for, I was told "a fee for lack of a better term." My original estimate was for $300.13 but I ended up paying $412.78. There are better and more transparent options than Mr. Handyman."

Full service remodeler and builder with in house carpentry crews. No carpentry subcontractors. Hands on direct supervision by ownership on every project. Replacement of windows and doors along with siding and flooring. Projects ranging from $700 step replacement to "magazine ready" home remodeling at $400,000.
"1) Photo taken Dec 15, 2019 about five weeks after the job was supposedly "complete". This shows three lights missing. 2) Photo taken about 16 weeks after the job was "complete". This shows now there 9 lights missing and the front looks very shoddy. I'm ashamed for anyone, even neighbors to see it looking so bad. It will cost me over $300 just to get the correct lights. If they can be replaced at all; that's likely to be another $500-$800. This guy's work is just plain bad! Poor design and workmanship. Scheduled 6 weeks ahead work completed less than 36 hours before need date when a wedding was scheduled. Design did not conform to specifications, workman left site littered with debris and muddy patches. Improperly selected led riser lights were installed improperly and in the wrong place. 5 months after completion, two lights have fallen out behind the steps, where they can not be reinstalled. This is the third time leds have fallen out. The first time occurred within weeks of installation. The second time was a month later. The third time was a few weeks after he fixed them for the second time. The second time, it took him weeks to come around and fix them. The whole time we waited, the front of the hose, with two lights missing looked very shoddy. It was plain ugly both night when the lights were on, and during the day when the empty holes looked out onto the street. Now we're back there again, with an ugly front for weeks. We'll probably have to install new lights at our expense! Don't use these guys! If you must, reserve at least a third for the final. Don't make the final payment for at least six weeks after they are done so you have time to get all that goes wrong fixed; and he has some reason to fix it."
