"I recently hired Maxxima Concrete Company to remove an old asphalt driveway and install a brand new concrete one, and I couldn't be more pleased with the results. From start to finish, the entire process was smooth, efficient, and handled with great professionalism. The crew worked together seamlessly—like poetry in motion. It was clear they were experienced and took pride in their work. Every step was carried out with precision and care, and the end result is a beautifully finished driveway that has completely transformed the look of my property. Adam stood out as an honest and trustworthy professional. He took the time to clearly explain the scope of work, what to expect, and how long the project would take. His transparency and communication gave me a lot of confidence in choosing this company—and they delivered on every promise. If you're looking for high-quality concrete work done by a reliable and skilled team, I highly recommend Maxxima Concrete Company."

"Raschke Concrete and Construction was hired to pour 2 concrete slabs and 2 transition pieces at our business (The Sandstone Retreat) totaling 14 yards on concrete for the price of $10,000. The owner Gabriel Raschke assured me that it would be no problem and that he could start next but he required half the money to get started. We told him that my wife and I got him name off of Angi's list but since we didn't know him we were only willing to give him 2,500 now and when he was finished with the forms we would give him a check for $5,000 to pay for the 14 yards of concrete. The concrete was supposed to be poured on Friday February 28th, 2025 so I took a personal day to supervise the job. Gabriel Raschke came Friday morning and informed me that the concrete will not be there until Monday March 3rd, 2025. I was not happy about this but if it had to be pushed back then it gets pushed back but I told him that I would not be on site that day. I instructed a good friend that was doing some work at the Sandstone Retreat that day to keep an eye on them and let me know how the concrete progress was going. The 1st concrete truck showed up around 12:45 on Monday March 3, 2025 and Raschke Concrete and Excavation started the concrete slab. I called my friend and was asking how the concrete was going. He informed me that they started so I said send me some pictures. He sent me some pictures and had some concerns about how it looked but I figured that it would be fine. My friend sent me more pictures about 20 minutes later and confirmed my concerns. I called my friend at the Sandstone and asked what was going on and he told me that it's not good. I sent Gabriel Raschke a text at 3:16 PM and asked what was going on but didn't get a response back from him until 6:37 PM saying that he is going to call the concrete company because they put to much calcium in the concrete and it set up to quickly. Gabriel called me and told me the whole story and said that there was too much Calcium in the concrete and he could get the job done because it set up to quickly. I told him that was not my problem and asked him how they are going to fix it. He said that he will put a skim coat of mortar on it and it would look good. I told him that won't fix the problem and that I want it all chipped out and removed."

Why work with us? Southern Grove Landscaping was established nineteen years ago, in 1986, by a graduate from Ohio State University who studied in depth what it takes to achieve perfection in your landscape surroundings. Award-winning landscapes do not just look good for one season -- an excellent landscape should transcend the season with plants chosen for our Ohio climate and accents of stonework and design variation that command attention. That's our specialty. While everyone thinks about flowers in the spring and mowing the grass in the summer, your yard needs special attention throughout the year: during the winter delicate plants should be wrapped or transferred inside; in the spring the landscaping always needs extra special care to make sure the plants and lawn start the year off right. Summer heat means that proper watering and fertilization are important to keep plants healthy, whereas in the fall, trees and shrubs begin to go dormant, so transplantation then preven ts shock to the plant and helps to ensure healthy new growth in the spring. We are pleased to announce our nineteenth anniversary of making Columbus and surrounding areas beautiful. We're humbled by the positive response we've had from our clients and we hope to make many more beautiful landscapes for you and your families to enjoy. Give us a call and we will meet with you for a free consultation at your convenience. ASSOCIATION Better Business Bureau
"Excellent! They were done in 3 days, and it looks wonderful. A little slow with communication and scheduling in the beginning, but remained professional and did a great job. I have recommended them several times to other neighbors and friends."

"Mark was able to fit our small job into his schedule, and did a great job of matching the wavy edge on one side of the slab. You could sit outside and watch the crew with your grandmother and your 4 year and not worry about yelling, cussing, or anything that would be hard to explain to a 4 year old. I highly recommend Ronk Construction!"

A well-built retaining wall can absolutely boost home value. By carving out level space, preventing erosion, and giving your yard a clean, layered look, you raise both curb appeal and usable square footage. Home appraisers estimate a 100% to 200% return on the money you spend on building a retaining wall, especially when you choose durable materials and a design that complements the house.
Material and craftsmanship dictate how long a retaining wall lasts. Expect five to 20 years from wood, 20 to 100 from metal, 50 to 100 from concrete, and up to 200 from stone. Choose quality materials, hire an experienced installer, and schedule routine maintenance, and you’ll squeeze the maximum life out of any wall.
Yes, retaining walls require a drainage system. Without proper drainage, water builds up behind the wall and can push it forward or crack the blocks. Most pros add gravel trenches, perforated pipes, and weep holes to move rainwater and groundwater away. This simple step relieves pressure, protects the foundation, and keeps the surrounding soil in place.
Most retaining walls go up in one to three weeks. Crews start by prepping and grading the site, then pour or set footings, stack the blocks, and finish with backfill and clean-up. Bad weather, complicated terrain, or permit holdups can stretch the schedule, but an experienced contractor will build slack into the timeline and keep you informed.
