"They communicated great, they were on time, they protected everything did a thorough prep and cleanup. And the end result is great. I had them removed wire shelving from three closets patch and sand as well as paint. They did all the ceilings in My Home plus all the walls of a 1500 ft.² home. They also prep the garage for paint, however that didn’t get finished, which was no fault of theirs. I would definitely recommend."

"We hired Goodfellows Painting to paint the exterior (all windows, trim, doors) on a 1930's home that needed some TLC. I was initially very impressed by John and his knowledge of the quirks and care that it takes to work on old houses and windows. He expressed that that was their specialty and they would be able to do a good job and be able to do all the prep work involved with that. However, I was less than impressed by the overall prep work and attention to detail. We had to meet with foreman on multiple separate occasions when they thought they were done, but when walking around the house I identified pieces of trim left unpainted, paint smears in places, shoddy work on the window flashing, etc. We fully recognized that our house was not going to look brand new based on some of the chipping paint, old windows, etc. And overall, they did a decent job. But, based on the 'sales pitch' that John had about their experience working on old houses, I expected much better quality and attention to detail than we got."

"First let me state that this review is way too late being written and I sincerely apologize for that. Mark headed up this effort and his crew came in, did the job professionally, fast and a good job. I'd recommend Lester's Painting to anyone and would definitely use them again. Mark is just an amazing person to work with and once we finish all of our decorating we intent to invite him over for drinks to see the finished apartment. (Mark, we're getting there, haha!) As I stated in the "what work was done" section this was a complex and very detailed interior paint requirement and the execution here was AMAZING! Metalics, various colors, contrasting ceilings, trims, doors and accents! Work done was at a fair price, impressive results and we are beyond pleased with it all! Family and friends have been blown away by the scheme and while that requires good planning (my amazing wife's tastes!) it needed perfect execution - and Lester's deliver 110%! Great people, great work, fair price - You won't find a better company in our opinion so go ahead and request a quote for your job! -- This ends the review of Lester's Painting -- the following is a side note. The following is NOT a review of Lester's themselves but a lesson to be learned if you read this review. That lesson. Stick with the services Lester's will do and plan jobs outside that scope with another professional... There was only a single issue (OF NO FAULT OF LESTER'S OR MARK HIMSELF) - one of the painters (very talented) who was supposed to come back and do a side project (and at the same time do the final touchup of paint). He worked incredibly hard to complete the task in one evening but was only able to complete about 80% of the wallpaper and never replaced or painted the baseboards he removed as part of the effort. Despite being paid for the entire job with the agreement he'd return attempts to reach him to arrange the completion were ignored and he would not respond. We'll finish this up soon, the paper, replacement of baseboards and painting of those to match. So again, just a lesson to us and maybe someone who thinks about odd jobs that are slightly out of scope --NOT a fault of Lester's painting, though."

"Marcial and his crew were prompt, professional and hard working. I received Marcials' proposal in a timely fashion, which is more than I can say about some of his competitors in the Columbia area. They arrived at the job site each day in a timely manner, worked 8 to 10 hours,cleaned up daily and completed the job in approximately six days. Martial was very helpful assisting us with the correct type and color of paints and stains. He replaced all identified rotten wood on our home, which is 100+ years old, as well as some wood which we had not identified upon initial inspection. He also found a shingle on the roof that required replacing and took care of that at no additional cost. "Mike and Crystal were very professional from the first phone contact through the completion of the work. They showed up on time, their work was neat and they worked very efficiently. My windows were in pretty bad shape. They really took their time and prepped them very well which showed in the finished product. When asked to redo or touch up anything it was done without question. "My overall experience was good. The job was to be performed in three parts over two to three days: (1) scraping the ceiling; (2) re-taping and mudding the seams and mudding the nail and screw heads; and (3) painting the ceiling. It ended up taking two workers three days (they worked roughly 4-5 hours per day) accomplishing one of the three tasks each day. The workers took care in keeping everything clean by covering the walls and floor with plastic during the entire project. Repair of the seams and covering of the nails and screw heads was good. Sanding of the ceiling along the edges near the walls and near the attic access door and light fixture,etc. was not as thorough as as could have been done, leaving some areas with excess/un-sanded mud. The paint was applied by spaying with some small areas of the ceiling only having a thin coat over the sheetrock. I scored the quality of work as fair and the overall job as good based on what I paid for the work that was performed. After all, this was my garage ceiling not a bedroom or kitchen ceiling. I wasn't expecting the Sistine Chapel and I didn't get it. There wasn't the attention to detail that I would expect if this was a ceiling in a living area of my home. However, it did accomplish what I wanted: to stop the popcorn from falling and improve the unsightly look of the garage."
