"Troy and the Superior Landscaping crew were FABULOUS from the very first phone call to finish!! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND! I got estimates from multiple places for French Drain install for our backyard that would oversaturate with water (due to design flaw on new build home property) and not only was Superior Landscaping most competitively priced, Troy was totally on the ball with getting the estimate to us right away and even calling to check in with us; whereas it took so long and I had to place multiple calls to get calls returned from other companies! "Brian and his crew were absolutely incredible. We just moved into a home in Takoma Park, MD and our front and back yard were in need of some major work. The backyard was a complete jungle. It was extremely overgrown with weeds, brush, poison ivy, and dead/unattractive trees. Brian's crew manually dug out everything and removed all of the dead trees as well as their roots. They also cut back a ton of bamboo and then laid mulch down in the entire yard. Brian and his crew were able to start within days after getting the final quote. Brian is an extremely reasonable, knowledgable, and caring person. In addition to his landscaping knowledge, he is also a "master gardener." We had no clue about what to do next, so he offered to draw out some sketches of designs (free of charge) as well as ideas for plants and flowers that would be suitable for our particular yard. I took this sketch with me to the nursery yesterday and it was very helpful! "Kurt (Distinct Landscapes) performed an exception makeover to our property. We have owned our home for 20 years, with an eye on a landscape design to the house front - that pops. What we inherited were azaleas and christmas trees that continued to grow more expansive over the years. I provided Kurt with my budget and blessing to take the necessary design/purchase/installation steps necessary to dazzle. He did not disappoint! Kurt was a joy to work with, paying several visits to our property to discuss proposed layout and educate newcomers concerning the finer points of horticulture - in laymen's terms. He was extremely responsive to preferences and concerns and made several modifications of his own - before installation date. What a makeover - Korean Boxwoods, Dward Red Barberries, Goldmound Spireas, Nandina Domestica, Chery Laurels Knockout Roses, A Purple Crape Myrtle and Dragon Lady Holly species ... to name a few. Kurt did not overcrowd the design, but allowed sufficient spacing for future growth ... definitely planning for the longer range investment. With his selection, he also ensured more diverse colors over a greater portion of the calendar year.
