"<p>After reading the reviews here we decided to go with Mr. Early to build us a new kitchen.  I believe we met with him at his showroom three times and he came to our house twice during the decision process.  He was very thorough in his evaluation of what we wanted and extremely patient with all the questions we asked during the design phase.  After we settled on the design and materials, we received and approved the estimate and settled on a schedule. His crew of subcontractors always arrived on schedule,  were very courteous and entertaining, and always left the work area clean at the end of the day.  In the end we had a new kitchen with solid wood cabinets, quartz countertops, glass mosaic backsplash, and new vinyl floor, all new plumbing fixtures and electrical outlets with LED under cabinet lighting.  We are extremely pleased.   The work is top notch and our new kitchen revels anything you see on TV.  Due the materials we choose it was a bit pricy but we now have a kitchen with more storage space and a much more efficient layout.   Would recommend HOSCO Kitchen and Bath?  Absolutely!</p> <br />"

"We had water damage from a leaking dishwasher which destroyed our floors, cabinets and introduced mold. They fixed it all, worked seamlessly with our insurance company, taught me some things, helped us upgrade our counters and get the whole house painted. They let me go buy my own sink, appliances, listened to me moan, and worked with us on getting them paid."

"I am very happy with the quality of work, I tend to be picky on my house and how it looks. He ordered the material, had it delivered, removed my old deck and put in a new deck that is 6 ft bigger than my old one. Very good quality. I am very happy with his work. <br />"

"<p>My husband and I are very pleased with the outcome.  Our house was built in the 70's and the windows were in very bad shape.  Everyone involved in the process was very professional and courteous.  We love the windows and the house looks great.  Thank you!</p> <br />"

"Overall, poor experience. Bad project managing led to numerous frustrations. In short, management worked hard to fix the problems after they happened and very badly wanted to correct issues, but it does not remove the frustrations of the poor work the initial go round. Unfortunate experience, but I hear that this is not the norm for the company. <br />"

FAQs for cabinets reface projects in Newport, NC

Absolutely. Refacing returns 65% to 80% of your investment at resale, and you get an updated kitchen right now. Because you’re not paying for new boxes or demo work, the price lands well below complete replacement but still delivers a fresh, custom look that buyers—and you—notice every time you walk in.

To trim costs, start by pricing a high-quality paint or gel stain instead of full refacing—stain alone can be one-third the price of full refacing. Keep existing hinges and pulls if they’re in good shape, and shop sales for sandpaper, primer, and sealer. The sweat equity is real, but so are the savings, and a careful DIY job can still leave your cabinets looking sharp for years to come.

A professional crew needs only three to five days to reface a standard kitchen, although a larger layout or intricate door style may add one to two days. Compare that with the several weeks a full cabinet swap can drag on. In other words, you get your space back fast, often before the paint on the new doors is even fully cured.

Yes, you can replace just the cabinet doors and drawer fronts without covering the cabinet boxes. Cabinet refacing involves installing new doors and drawer fronts while applying veneers to existing cabinet boxes. If you’re satisfied with the condition of your cabinets, swapping doors and drawer fronts reduces labor and materials, saving you time and cost. Always consult a professional to confirm compatibility and ensure a seamless, high-quality finish.

Most cabinet refacing projects do not require removing countertops because professionals can access doors and drawers around existing surfaces. However, if your countertop overhang prevents full access to the cabinet boxes, contractors may need to lift the countertop to install veneers properly temporarily. Discuss this with your refacing specialist during the on-site estimate so you know exactly what the project entails.
