"Where do I even begin telling you about Tony and the wonderful work he does, the attention to detail, the cleanliness, the "going beyond the call" mentality? We had a water mark showing up on our family room ceiling that was gradually getting bigger and darker. With two bathrooms on the second floor right above the damage we were pretty sure what the problem was. We really didn't know of any contractors that would do this "small" of a job so I went searching. Stumbled across Midwest Remodel and Handyman in my search, saw some good reviews and that's when we were fortunate enough to have met Tony! He came right out and assessed the damage and within a day gave me a fair quote and an estimate of when he would be able to do the work. Hired!!! Then, before he even started this job for us, my mailbox post decided to crap out on us and was almost leaning in to the street. I called Tony just to see if by chance he could fix it for me. Again...he came right out and took care of the problem for me! Unbelievable! When the time came to actually do the work I initially hired him for, he was prompt, diligent, efficient, he cleans up after himself literally every day before he leaves, and I have to say that watching Tony and his helper Brandon work together is entertaining, to say the least! What a couple of great guys with a great sense of humor! And when all was said and done, he stuck to his quote, no overcharging and the work was impeccable. But here is a testimony to the true character of these guys...in the midst of all the repair work going on, my wife had a medical emergency. I had to go pick her up from work and leave her car in the parking lot where she left it as she was unable to drive. On day two of her hospitalization, these guys offered to take me to go get my wife's car so it didn't have to sit in the parking lot any longer. They did not have to do that but that's the kind of guys they are and I was incredibly grateful! Class act all the way! Best of all, we now have someone that we can trust and rely on to do things around the house for us that we just don't have the talent or skills to do ourselves! What a relief!!! We already have more things for him to do! This guy is so good, it didn't take long for our neighbors to catch on...he's doing work for them now too!"

Once I agreed to the work to be done, he ordered the needed part right then. Parts are paid up front. Final payment due when work is completed. "Earlier this year, a different contractor installed an egress window well and cover. I was very unhappy with the height of the well and finishing details on the cover. An unfinished board was screwed directly to the siding and the cover was mounted to the board. Original contractor was not really interested in making it right. The only way to make it right was a total re-do. Ivan with A&H Home Improvement looked at it and provided a very fair and reasonable estimate to correct the original installation. He was able to schedule this job within a few weeks. The job involved completely digging out the well, replacing one section of siding, mounting a pvc board to the foundation slightly above the well, and mounting the cover to the pvc board. I am 1,000% (yes really 1,000% not just 100%) satisfied with the end result. Ivan was able to use the same well and cover so the cost of this project was basically labor and a few components (pvc board, screws, bolts). The end result is EXACTLY how I imagined it should look. I am very pleased and would definitely call A&H Home Improvement again for home repairs or future projects."

We had been having trouble finding someone who would finish up the last details in a very small bathroom restoration in our 1962 home. We were using a flooring called Marmoleum that no one knew. Mike took the time to research the material and learn how to install it. He was a lifesaver. The bathroom looks great and much like it did when the house was built!"

"I called Kevin on 1/29, and he asked me to text him my address so he could look at the job.  I had him beat out a drywall ceiling on my back porch, hang center bead board panels, trim the panels, and haul away all the demo waste, and I included a bunch more items in my yard as I was out there with him and could figure out what to get rid of. <br /> Kevin showed up on a Monday morning at the time indicated with a helper and worked about a half day.  He came out a second day and knocked the job out that day with two helpers.  He did all the hauling I asked and was flexible when I kept asking if he could hall extra stuff -- I am getting my house ready for sale, so I wanted it all gone. <br /> The workmanship on the paneling is fantastic (even though this was more of an odd job than what seems to be his core business of hauling), and Kevin was easy to work with and professional.  I would definitely recommend him for his promptness, attitude and workmanship. <br />"
