"Zach and Luke were responsive and followed through with quality work. They made a reasonable plan for replacing a knob-and-tube circuit in our 1916 home and provided a prompt quote. Their quote was competitive with other quotes we received. They performed the work on our preferred schedule and did a great job. Zach and Luke are craftsman who I would trust with my home on future projects."

"My family experienced water and wind damage earlier this year. We had to be placed in a hotel. After reaching out to numerous companies, we chose Maynor construction. I am glad we did!! If it wasnâ t for Maynor and his staff, I wouldnâ t have made it. The process was long and depressing because of being away from home. However Maynor and his staff reassured me. They showed patience with me and worked hand and hand with my insurance company with getting my home repaired in a timely manner. Thank you Maynor! I truly feel like we are family!"

"They were prompt messaging me back and to get scheduled for a ceiling fan installation. He helped me figure out what size fan to buy. I really appreciated that the owner was upfront about the cost to install the ceiling fan, and it was reasonable. The job was done super quick and is working great!"

FAQs for electrical for home addition or remodel installation projects in North Salem, IN

There are several telltale signs that your home is due for an electrical upgrade. You may need to rewire your house if your lights are constantly flickering or your circuit breaker keeps tripping. If you feel mild electric shocks when you touch light switches, hear buzzing sounds, or notice burning smells, you may need to rewire your house, too. Discolored or burnt-looking switches and faceplates are another crucial warning sign.

Properly installed copper wiring in a residential property can last as long as 50 to 100 years in some cases, but many homes over 30 years old are due for an upgrade. That’s the timeline that many experts recommend, even if it is only a partial update to accommodate technological advancements, increased power demands, and changing safety requirements.

At $3 to $5 per square foot, the cost to wire a 2,000-square-foot house ranges from $6,000 to $10,000, on average. This can depend on many factors, like the age and complexity of the house and how easy it is for contractors to access the areas they need to get the job done. Opening and repairing walls can further add to your total cost.
