"We found Goodwood General Construction on Angieâ s list. Our project was relatively large in size. We added a six foot fence and changed our driveway from asphalt to stone pavers. We added a patio in the back. The project also included granite front and side steps, a granite mailbox post and the removal of several trees and bushes, and numerous old brick pavers and stones. The entire site had to be regraded to correct drainage issues on both sides of our house. Henry (The Contractor) was exceptional from the start. He was very calm and helpful during the whole process. He provided our estimate in a timely manner and was right on target for both the start date he promised and completion. The crew was respectful to our property and neighbors. At the end of each day they cleaned the site and left it immaculate. There were no surprises!I enjoyed having the crew here every day and Henry was always open to any adjustments I made along the way. They completed the project on time. I am 58 years old and have owned my home since 1994. I have had multiple contractors work on our home for various projects. This is the first time I actually enjoyed the whole process and was never â bullied for moneyâ . Our project is now complete and every person that walks by our house compliments his work. "Highly recommend them. Every step along way was positive! Bill responded immediately to calls, very helpful with questions and reachable by Cell for follow-up. Arrived on time and very professional. We had a plumbing drainage problem; one plumber had visited and felt our exterior drain pipe may have been cracked just outside foundation. Once Callahan excavated the ground open, pipe was not cracked by foundation. Bill showed us one joint to be repaired/adjusted and suggested us hiring a drain cleaning company anticipating tree roots. (Next we hired drain company who got through backup and along with video, found tree roots got through seam but thankfully no cracks in pipe.) With the joint adjusted, we can better monitor if future backup. During project Callahan also secured plywood over area to protect from rain; locked area was not accessible to public. When we called to schedule completion, in spite of us being a small job - again Callahan was available quickly to return. During second visit and refilling, they went above and beyond in also removing and disposing some scraps that were in ground. Thanks again! Highly recommend their services!

"James and his crew installed a beautiful professional grade new driveway at our 3-family condo. It makes our house stand out and allows for landscaping improvements throughout the yard. The edging and seal of the asphalt against the house foundation looks especially well-done. The driveway between our house and the neighbors is narrow and very difficult to work within but James and his crew handled it with ease. Paperwork was scarce with Public Hot Top. We initially went with them because the estimate of 1k lower than others. After some discussion they verbally committed to working within our budget which was several hundred dollars below the estimate. On paving day they pushed hard for 1k payment over initial estimate due to added material expense. Feel that they lowballed the estimate to win business - advise getting price guarantees in advance."
