I appreciate they responded quickly and were straightforward and honest, rather than bidding on a job they could not include in their workload. As it turns out, I will repair the existing wood fence and in the future the Renton School District (my neighbor) will install a new 6 ft high chain link fence at this location, per their specs, thus alleviating a need on my part to build the new fence. A new elementary school will soon be built at the property adjacent to my location."

"The porch of our house (built in 1984) had rotted out and needed to be replaced. We wanted to use a synthetic material (e.g. Trek) so that we wouldn't need to paint or worry about decay. We collected a few bids and estimates from other companies, but they were double our expectations for a small porch replacement. Tom at Eastside Fence and Deck not only provided a reasonable and fair estimate, he took the time to go over all our options and let us choose the porch we wanted. He also spent time teaching us a lot about how porches are constructed and how his crew would be able to ensure proper rain runoff, match the slope of the steps up to our front door, and how everything would be to code. Tom's estimate detailed all the materials and was clear about the work. He double checked again before ordering the materials. It made us feel informed and in control. The crew was incredible. They demo'ed the old porch in a couple of hours and in a couple of days the porch was done. They did a ton of measurement to make sure it was exactly leveled and rock solid. It was exactly to what was specified and they did a perfect job on the railing and facing. Our house looks beautiful from the street and the porch is a pleasure to use. We are incredibly happy with the result. I can't recommend Eastside Fence and Deck enough. They are craftsmen, friendly and easy to work with, and get the job done quickly. I plan on hiring them for all future fence and deck work."

"We are so happy with our new custom fence! This was not a "typical" job. It is a small yard that wraps around the back and sides of the house. We needed some areas to have privacy fencing, and some to have a picket with space between the boards, 4 gates, some pieces to connect to existing fencing, and some of the fence to sit on top of a retaining wall. The fence came out beautifully and totally meets our needs. They were very responsive when we needed the estimate and fully designed proposal. They scheduled the work as quickly as possible, and in the timeline we needed. They are highly recommended."

"I asked Jim at Home & Garden Art to fabricate 4 small sections of handrail out of iron that I would use around the 4 corners of my sunken living room. I wanted a 3D flower design done in the center to make it unique and provide a little rustic contrast to a fairly formal space. Jim caught on to what I was looking for very quickly and sketched out something on a sticky note that I thought would look great. After we agreed on the price he committed to getting them done about 3 weeks from that point. <br /> Jim began work on it within a couple days and called with some ideas to improve on the original design. I liked his suggestions and asked him to make the changes. To my surprise they called me a week early to tell me the work was done and ready to pick-up. My wife and I went to pick them up that day and can't say enough about how happy we are with the workmanship. They paid close attention to the details and really made the flowers look incredible. The fabrication and welding work is impeccable and worth every penny. <br /> The guys at Home & Garden Art are super friendly, easy to work with and real artists. "Work was done in 2 days (large fence). Carpentry is excellent. Byron, the owner, is very personable and professional. He returned my call the first day I called. Byron has five crews working all the time, so they can get the job done fairly quickly. His company had also built fences throughout our neighborhood. I checked with two neighbors and they both had great things to say. I had also called two other companies, one never returned my call, and the other told me that they didn't travel to the suburb where we live.
