"After having a leaking problem coming from our chimney, we noticed some damage to our roof that was probably from a storm the year before and we wanted to get an evaluation of what sort of things would need to be done to improve it.  We had used Doug's Roofing 6 months before for an ice dam removal and I was so impressed with Doug and his service, I decided to contact him again to assess my roof.  We also started the process of seeing if our insurance company would help us with replacement costs.  After my initial meeting with Doug and my phone call to the insurance company, I didn't even need to do that much other that pick out the shingles.  Doug took care of most of the insurance stuff for us, including being there when the assessor came to view the roof and submitting the invoices and photos of the work done directly to the insurance company.  He and his team (one to four other guys depending on the day) work for several days to re-deck the whole house and garage (they were replacing what was probably 94 year old wood), put on new shingles, new vents on the garage, fresh flashing on the chimney, and even adjusted some of the siding that was impacted by the changes on the roof (and one that was just falling off the side of my house).  All of them were very nice.  The were delayed several time due to rain so that made it take a bit longer, but they still got done before my requested deadline.  The whole thing, from the time I first contacted Doug to when the final insurance payment came, was probably about two months.  I am so pleased with the results!  Doug is so nice, so helpful and so professional! <br />"

"AAA+++ Just Fabulous! I met Pro Tech Senior Project Manager Nathan Knopp at my home after a terrible hail and wind storm struck my community on Lake Pulaski in Buffalo, MN this summer. With Nathan Knopp's guidance and support, we were also able to upgrade our gutter guard to a style/manufacturer that is better suited/engineered to our steep roof pitch for our designer lake home. I have to say that working with Nathan Knopp and Pro Tech was easy and very informative and my wife and I feel that we came away from this experience with not only an upgraded roof and gutters, but with a lot more understanding of how the roof and gutter system in our home works to protect our home from the elements. "Rich responded immediately to my request for an estimate. One other outfit did as well, but I went with Rich because he was so prompt and reasonable. He arrived as scheduled, is very personable and focused, and got right to the work. He was incredibly fast and thorough, and took pictures of his work from the roof so I could see how clear the gutters now are! (See picture, note roof height, newly-empty gutter, one of many on this big old house.) He alerted me to a problem area, a roof over a flat porch where we do have trouble every winter, and he described what is happening up there so I understand how to fix that. "Once they have your 30% down the communication takes more effort on your part. The crew shows up on time, but they don't leave until 9pm. 14 hrs of banging away is a bit much; a glass fell from the cupboard and broke and some of my ceiling finish is now on my carpet, the home is only 13 yrs old. They have not cleaned up after each day and their materials and equipment are left strewn on my lawn, nor they have not protected my plants as promised. Let's just hope the roof installation is actually water tight. <br />"
