"Mack from Alton Barnes called me back quickly from the VM I had left, and met me at the property shortly after. I had deck and porch damage from a big tree that came down and glanced the side of the house after a bad wind storm we had. Upper deck was unstable. Repairs needed to be done ASAP. Mack was on it right away. His communication thru out the job was outstanding, sending me pictures of his progress along the way. He finished quickly as well. No waiting or wondering if he was going to show up. Property was cleaned up after the job as well. I couldn't be happier with his work. "I can't speak highly enough about this company. When I called to arrange an on site visit for an estimate, they showed up on time and listened to everything I had to say about the job. I was given a written quote on the spot (something I rarely see from contractors), so I offered them the job. To my surprise, he said he could get started the very next day (a Saturday) and that they would be able to finish the following Monday when the deck had dried off. They arrived to start the job when they said they would, and got to work right away. I was concerned I would need to move the stuff we have on the decks, but they told me they could simply move them to the side and then move them back when they were done. They did exactly that, and everything was put back to its original position when they were finished. They were power washing all day, and were very thorough. When they came back two days later, they again went to work right away rebuilding the stairs and water sealing the deck. The stairs look great! They even added a step so the bottom step could sit more securely on the concrete (it had been resting on a cinder block before being rebuilt). They advised to wait 1-2 days for the water sealer to dry before using the decks, we paid them, and they did a great job cleaning up when they left. I wish all contractors we hired were as efficient and straightforward as the people working at Melvin Power Wash. I will absolutely call on them again when my decks need maintenance, or if my house needs a wash."

"Honest! We had some issues with our septic & driving over it. Alex told me a pipe could burst today, or not, or two years down the road, and the septic would have to be replaced. He told us he had tree climbers. He brought in a crane, never know it was here. The job was done & cleaned up great. I asked about the roots growing above ground toward the foundation. I asked Alex if he took the stump out would they die? He said yes, but sometimes I hate to mention the problems it could cause because, people think we are trying to raise their bill. Honest! You will not be sorry if you use him, and Alex will be back in the Spring!"
