"All Under One Roof recently replaced my roof on a 3-story, 200+ year old Federal in Newburyport. It was a big job that entailed removing 3 layers of rolled roofing/asphalt shingles; removing original skylight & taking down old dormant chimney to roof line and roofing over both; installing ½ “ plywood and asphalt shingles over new roof. I can’t say enough good things about All Under One Roof. They had a great crew and did a fantastic job. In fact, my neighbor across the street who had a birds eye view of work in progress, then hired them to replace his roof. John Lanzafame, the company’s owner, is a jewel. He’s very professional, responsible and communicative – a “take charge” guy in the best meaning possible. I was completely comfortable and confident that I was in good hands, and did not have to worry about micro managing the work. I should also point out that All Under One Roof began work on date scheduled (a month in advance) and completed the job (start to finish) in short order. I highly recommend All Under One Roof. "NMTI (who we hired as Tru Blue Construction Inc) were superlative. Juan and Ramon were excellent communicators, answering all of our questions in a timely, professional, and endlessly patient fashion. Our project was a big one - our self-managed condo building had a severely leaky roof that needed a full replacement, including redoing a roof deck - and I imagine we were not the easiest clients since we had tons of questions and a lot of "cooks in the kitchen" with different owners and condo trustees weighing in. Juan and Ramon took it all in stride and were incredibly helpful for me in my role as project coordinator. Their team was clean, efficient, effective, respectful, and friendly. They worked both quickly and thoroughly, and were good to always keep me updated as the scope of the work evolved as we found new (but not unexpected or spurious) issues during the demo/rebuild process. Juan was an excellent advocate for us and our project when the city was slow to approve permits/send inspectors. It was a big and intimidating job for us as homeowners, and NMTI/Tru Blue made it feel much less overwhelming. "This started as a relatively small repair, complicated by some water damage over the years. Required replacing two sheets of plywood, ice and water barrier, shingles, removal and reinstall of the vinyl and fascia. Tar Star was upfront with their suspicions and analysed the situation correctly. As it turned out later, they were correct with their predictions. The root cause was improperly installed shingles in one section of the roof, which were cut too short, which caused the water and ice accumulating under, eventually making its way to the board and rotting it out. The job took one day overall, split up in two parts, Sunday and Monday. I provided part of the material (shingles). The actual cost was in the estimated range. Tar Star provided good recommendations, conducted the repair efficiently, without unnecessary work or upsell, focusing on quality, longevity, and cost efficiency. I know I will have to replace the roof at some point, probably when installing solar equipment. This bought me a few more years for my old roof, which is what I wanted. Overall, nice guys. Recommended!"
