"We are so pleased with Roman, Paul, and the team from Sunset Roofing. After many failed attempts trying to get estimates from other local contractors, Sunset was very timely in responding to our request. Roman arrived on time, was thorough in assessing our needs, and spent the time necessary for us to make a sound decision. Once we decided Sunset was the partner for us, Roman was able to schedule our roof replacement within a week. The damage below the four layers of shingles required a complete tear-off and new plywood on our entire roof, which was a bit more than expected. I found it helpful that Paul was transparent along the way with the team's findings, so there were no surprises when my final bill arrived. The replacement of our prior skylight and addition of a second one added much-needed natural light into our kitchen. We now have a great-looking roof complemented by two gorgeous skylights coupled with the peace of mind that we will be able to enjoy for years to come. We would highly recommend your services to any homeowner."

"The initial call to this company was answered promptly and a representative came to give an estimate. The original proposal said that work would begin the week of July 13. On July 28th, a crew swarmed my home. They placed plastic tarps over my boxwood hedges, which, by the end of the hot day, burned the tops and turned them totally brown. They also broke the top off of my favorite vintage Chicago Peace rose bush, which has bloomed in front of my house for years before I bought it in 1999. They left in their wake my gutters, haphazardly reattached, leaking, filled with water and discarded water bottles, nails and asphalt debris from the old roof. In addition, they removed, without my authorization, a portion of gutter downspout that was routed through the gambrel roof and roofed over on the front while leaving a hole in the back. Since they left, I have had to pick up bags of lunch garbage and water bottles left on both my neighbor's and my property and in the street, as well as chicken wing bones, cheese, cigarette packs and butts, nails, large chunks of old asphalt singles and other debris. Our contract stated that a new gutter would be placed on our garage, but that did not happen until August 8th, after several phone calls. At that time, the gutters on the house were supposedly cleaned, repaired and reattached. I asked the contractor that day to please replace the downspout that was removed and covered over and was told with a wink that "I've been doing this for 30 years" and that my husband had told him it was OK to do what he did. My husband has subsequently told me that he did not give his authorization to do so. I asked the contractor that he at least cover the hole left on the back side of the gambrel roof so that animals and insects could not get in there and he said that he would do it, but he didn't. I can only imply that he said that to appease "the little woman," not knowing that "the little woman" was the one who wrote the check. You can be certain that "the little woman" will not be writing a check to this company in the foreseeable future. As a postscript, I owned a small cottage on Seneca Lake which needed a new roof. I called this company for help and was told that someone would come to give me a quote, but it never happened. Guess it wasn't a big enough job to bother with."

"It was a large roof ice jam, fortunately Trevor was a little early. It was a tough job but it was well done. He removed the ice and repaired the soffit that the ice damaged. Well done at a fair price. Would definitely recommend him to others."

"We sustained damage to our roof in March 2022. We contacted Stellar to assist us with repairs. Unfortunately, the roof could not be repaired, so they installed a partial roof where the damage had occurred. The office and work crew were professional. The work crew went about their work diligently until the job was completed. The roof looks great!"

"He did a wonderful job. The only part of the roof on the building it was flat the house was built in 1957 He came in and talked to me about the repair and my concern about flat roof and i was worried about it leaking again. So he told me why the way he was going to fix it would reproof against leaking and he went ahead and did that. It was difficult because it was 30 feet up but he came and he did an excellent job and its never leaked since but I was up on the roof, at least six months after it was repaired I noticed that part of the flushing around the vent it looks like its starting to come up called him and he came in quickly within the day. He went ahead and repaired it and ever since then it has been perfect. Never leaked."

"Ray and his crew did an excellent job on the exterior painting. They also repaired 2 window sills and the porch overhang while adding insulation as well. Ray is an honest, integral man that wants to make sure you are happy when the job is done. Not only would I recommend Ray to everyone, I also would recommend people call Ray for estimates on other projects and even the stuff he does not do.
