The work they did was extensive--repairing 80 year old stone walls, widening our driveway and installing pavers instead of asphalt, reconstructing and reconfiguring the stairs coming down to the driveway, excavating and rebuilding walls. Their communication was excellent. They were fast but didn't cut a single corner. They worked closely with us to track down pavers that would match the walkway we had put in years ago. They added underground drainage from downspouts. And they are such nice guys! We have already arranged for them to do more work for us. I would recommend them without hesitation. We just could not be happier with the result."

"We hired Driveway Specialists to do repairs to our driveway and to do a seal coat. I struggled with the rating here. If I were just evaluating them based on the quality of the work, I'd give an A. And the people I dealt with were polite and friendly. But my customer service experience with them was frustrating. I won't go into all the details here, but it boils down to this. They were at times difficult to get a hold of. Also, on ore than one occasion, I was told by them that a job would be done on a particular day or week, only to have them not show up when they said they would and not call or email to let me know or to offer an alternative. It should be a basic expectation that when someone says they're going to do work on Day X, they show up on Day X to work. And if they are unable to fulfill that commitment, they should contact the customer to let them know. On too many occasions, Driveway Specialists failed to meet that basic expectation of customer service. Reading the reviews on Angieslist, it is clear that others have had my experience, but that we are a minority. Most people seemed to have had great experiences with Driveway Specialists. I can confirm the high quality of their finished work . But my customer service experience with them was bad."

"The owner Joe, seal coated our double driveway personally. Joe had completely excavated our previous driveway and replaced it with an expanded new one. He was on time for the date that we had scheduled. He used the highest quality sealer, known as Liquid Gold. Joe was meticulous in the application of the sealer and made sure the job was neat and clean upon completion. The end result was a professional driveway in both function and appearance. Primo Paving Inc. has our highest recommendation."

"I highly recommend Marcellos Builders and Design without reservation. My garage had to be demolished and rebuilt on the same footprint. Marcello’s work was perfect from start to finish. Marcello was meticulous in making sure all the measurements were correct. He oversaw the building of the new foundation consistent with the current building codes for the City of Newton. His carpenters who did the framing are the very best out there...doing such excellent work without taking any breaks, and their pride in their finished work, my new garage, was wonderful to behold. The siding and the painting were also great..careful, meticulous, two coats of paint, all looking just great!! I should also add that Marcellos has a great sense of design. He was helpful in picking out the right size windows. I look forward to having Marcellos Design and Builders do more renovations to this wonderful 1890 Victorian home. He is delightful to work with and follows through on all aspects of the project at hand. I am so glad to have found such a great contractor! I highly recommend him and his company!"

"Jim and his crew did a great job. We had our >100 year old foundation repointed. Everything was on time. The actual price was within 300 dollars of the estimated price and very competitive. I was impressed by how clean the operation was. The American Made Masonry Crew left our basement cleaner than it was when they started. I would highly recommend!"

"Mr. Feliciano did a great job and is a true craftsman. He was the first to respond and gave us a fair estimate and said he could fit us in the next week, much sooner than we had hoped. It is a 20 ft. walkway. Carlos had some great ideas and details that we added to what I had drawn up. Carlos and another fellow were punctual arriving at 7am and were completely done in the afternoon. We've received many nice comments from neighbors and friends on our new walk and I would hire him again for any masonry needs. I strongly recommend C F Masonry."
