When I approached him about this issue, what he said was, I gave you something better. I said, shouldn't I have been consulted before this was done? I said, how would you feel if I had done that to you without your prior knowledge? That is simply poor business practice. His work is good, yet you have to stay on top of what is being accomplished. He hardly showed up at the time that he stated. I had a handicap partner who cannot get up to open the door and coordination is thus very important. Julio mentioned he would fill in the screw heads where he attached the cabinets to the walls but when I called him about it, he never returned my phone calls and texts. He has poor communication skills and that is not a good business practice. Do your homework and get everything in writing. Look around and get several quotes."

"Last October, my sister, an elderly veteran living alone, contracted Genie Bath Systems to remodel her master and guest baths. She was diagnosed cancer and passed before the remodel was complete. Which, to be fair as we were not able to work with Genie while attending to my sister. The contract was expensive. Very expensive. The cost of the remodel is close to 1/4th the value of her home. I noticed there were issues with the remodel that showed a surprising lack of attention to detail. Genie sent people to address the issues twice. Yet issues remain. My calls to my contact at Genie are now being ignored. Also, the only document I have for the remodel is the contract my sister signed. It is not detailed. I have and continue to ask for a breakdown of the cost. An estimate or work order. This request is also being ignored. I am disappointed and have to wonder why Genie will not provide this information. I have several other questions for Genie that I will not go into here. But based on my experience, I cannot recommend Genie. In fact I would warn anyone considering Genie to be very careful about the cost of the contract."
