"Roberto and his staff did a great job. I am very please with the work they completed. They trimmed/pruned all shrubs, mulched, pulled weeds, split and stacked wood from trees that were cut, and miscellaneous work to get our yard ready for summer use. They were at our house for a full day."

"Took a while to get in touch with them, but once we were able to speak they came out to the house to provide a quote. The tree was removed the next morning. Overall, an efficient, well-run operation. I will consider them for future landscaping needs."

"Mike carefully explained all facets of the job before beginning work, so I had an understanding of what to expect. His crew came prepared, clearly knew what they were doing, and were pleasant and professional at all times. I love the look of the back of my house, and, once again, can use the small porch to safely access the back yard. Most importantly, my large, screened porch was saved from further water damage, and its new roof ensures that, rather than leak through, rain will drain!"

"Cutting Edge was not the cheapest, however, when they came here I had confidence they would do the best job. We had some issues, first was that we had a fence next to where those were going, we needed landscape timbers for the dirt so as not to push out the fence, of which we talked about, I also wanted Loam in the beds. The trees looked horrible when they came, he assured me that they would recover and were under warranty. They also said that they decided not to sure up the dirt near the fence - in fairness that was not put explicitly in the estimate, however, even he was here putting in the trees he agreed we spoke about it and it was part of the plan. - Long story, he sorta made it right after 3 visits, this is the only reason I gave him a C and nothing worse. They did not spread enough loam in the beds, the trees still look as if I did the work myself, but they did try to make it better, just didn't seem to know what they were doing. I feel bad for the person who came he was going through some personal issues, however, that should not effect the work. I can guarantee they would not want this job's picture on their website."

"Perfection Pruning was absolutely wonderful. They came out and did an evaluation of our yard and discussed the work needing to be done and offered advice on questions we had regarding future tree removal. Their prices were very reasonable and the job they did trimming the trees was great. The yard was in perfect condition after they completed the job. We had some timing issues with getting the job done, but they communicated with us and kept us in the loop. They have made us clients for life."

"After making a request for a quote for yard cleanup work we received a very timely call from Collins.  They came out to the house and provided us a very competitiive estimate to perform the work.  They scheduled the work and showed up as promised.  They work was performed to our complete satisfaction.  We are awaiting estimates to rebuild our stone steps and plan to have Collins do that next spring as part of our spring cleanup."

FAQs for trees & shrubs treat, protect and maintain projects in North Scituate, MA

A tree doctor or tree surgeon is another term for an arborist. The term is more common in places like the United Kingdom. They are professionals trained to plant, care for, maintain, diagnose, and remove trees of all kinds. Tree doctors have specialized knowledge to ensure the health and safety of trees.

Arborists are tree care specialists who plan, maintain, and enhance the health of trees with expert precision. They prune, diagnose diseases, treat pest infestations, remove hazardous limbs, and manage debris cleanup while developing comprehensive landscaping plans. They also handle tree planting and work with landscape professionals to ensure long-term tree vitality and safety.

Consulting arborists are tree experts who can advise homeowners and business owners on the right trees to plant, how to care for existing trees, and what to do about trees that appear to be sick or pose a safety threat. A consulting arborist may work with local landscape architects, investment property owners, city governments, developers, and other arborists.

An arborist may be able to save a dying tree. If you notice that your tree suddenly appears to be sick or is exhibiting unusual behavior, contact an arborist immediately. They will thoroughly inspect the tree to determine what might be wrong with it—and will let you know if it’s possible to save the tree and how to do it.

Verifying an arborist’s credentials is crucial for reliable tree care. Arborists must be licensed by their state and hold certifications from reputable organizations such as the International Society of Arboriculture (ISA). Request proof of licensing and certification, and review local recommendations to ensure you are hiring a professional who meets high industry standards and adheres to strict safety protocols.
