After the parts were bought/delivered I contacted him over the course of months. Andres - JI Carpentry & Painting messaged me he would not return to finish the job then ghosted me. My experience found Andres of JI Carpentry & Painting to be an inconsistent, unreliable, dishonest professional who fails to meet industry standards for communication, quality and ethical behavior breaking promises and exploiting homeowners financially. While he's managed a few good reviews I highly recommend everyone consider it's not uncommon for negative experiences to go undocumented. His negative reviews on Angi are just the tip of the iceberg for this guy given what's undoubtedly, hiding under the hood. "

They rely on subpar subcontractors with no professionalism or craftsmanship. ? Overpromise and underdeliver: I had to stay on top of every detail myself, doing the job the contractor was hired to manage. ? Unreliable: Never kept appointments or confirmed schedules. The only time they showed up on time was to collect payment. ? Unsafe practices: At one point, a subcontractor was cutting concrete inside the bathroom with a gas?powered tool, filling my entire home with smoke. I had to intervene to stop it and argue just to get basic protections like tarps in place. ? Poor management: Subcontractors openly complained about not being paid, and I even had to send one home myself because of unacceptable behavior. ? End result: Substandard work that does not reflect the money spent. Save yourself "
