Elevator Service, Elevator Repair, Elevator Modernization

"Horrible company to deal with. They came out to help to bring the elevator to the first floor. It was stuck due to a power outage on the block. They came out at 3pm Thursday and overcharged us overtime and travel time. As you can see from their publish hours 3 pm is within their working hours. They didn't tell us the overtime rate nor tell us that we would be charged over time. The service took under 45 minutes. Smartrise billed us for two hours at 454.00 an hour, total 908.00. When I spoke to Art at the company trying to discuss the proper amount for this service, he used profanity and name calling. Art hung up on me rather than communicate."

System Pavers is the nation’s leading outdoor remodeling company, thanks to award-winning customer service and more than 30 years of experience behind every install. With every project backed by industry-leading warranties, over 90,000 homeowners have trusted System Pavers to create beautiful, easy-to-maintain outdoor spaces where family and friends can connect for generations. System Pavers’ visionary designers and expert installation teams specialize in hardscapes, patios, driveways, turf, outdoor kitchens, BBQ islands, water features, fire features, decking, and more.

"A year and a half ago, we hired System Pavers to redo our driveway: changing it from stamped concrete to pavers. At the time, we knew we wanted to do the same thing to our back patio, but we figured it would be smart to try them out on a somewhat smaller project first, and then tackle the much larger and more complicated back yard once we knew we were satisfied. (Back yard is ~2,000 sq ft.) Needless to say, we were delighted with the work they did in 2019, and therefore asked to have the same project manager (Jimmy Jackson) again this year. That said, Jimmy had a long weekend planned out of town during our project, but things continued without a hitch, with Rich Daugherty stepping in to cover in Jimmy's absence -- absolutely seamless service! The project started ~2 weeks ago, and was completed in only 10 working days, including one Saturday (at our request -- so as to get the noisy jack hammering all done in as few business days as possible). Note that my husband had delayed moving forward on this project because he guessed it would take them a minimum of 4 weeks to complete it, with at least 2 weeks of jack hammering the old concrete. Wrong! It was more like 3 days of demo, followed by 7 days of construction -- and the demo all had to be done by hand: there was no way for a bobcat to access our back yard, so the guys used jack hammers and wheelbarrows to remove all that concrete. They are are FAST! They are also artisans: our house is of modern design, so the pool and back patio have lots of corners, which were mitred beautifully. They also added drainage to the patio, thereby solving a prior problem. The detail work was simply awesome! Any question we raised, they addressed, and we saw Jimmy or Rich here daily, ensuring that everything was picture perfect. Believe me, if/when we have any other hardscape that needs attention, we will call them again!"

"Don’t use Triple A Air Conditioning & Construction! Also AAA Construction same company Zee Armand (AKA Zahid Hussain) of Triple A Air Conditioning & Construction took our deposit didn’t do the work and left the siding off our house! We found Zee Armand (AKA Zahid Hussain) on Porch.com and asked him to give us an estimate on removing some dry rot, replacing a shower in our guest bathroom and installing some sheet vinyl in both the guest and master bathrooms. The estimate for the shower seemed reasonable, but for the flooring he was charging over $20 per square foot and we had already purchased the flooring ourselves. From Home Advisor: Installing sheet vinyl costs around $3/sf. Installing luxury vinyl tiles (LVT) or planks (LVP) costs considerably more, hovering at $7 per sq. ft.. Zee was the third contractor we had out to look at the bathroom and so by that point we were stressed and frustrated and after negotiating the flooring price down, we still decided to use his services and paid him a 10% deposit of $500. He was then supposed to come over the next day with his helper to look at the job and determine the tools they would need. He cancelled due to rain and said he would start on Monday instead. He arrived on Monday with his helper, took off a couple pieces of the siding of our house to expose the dry rot and told us that he was going to Home Depot to get supplies and update the estimate. He said he would be back in the afternoon and around 2:00 he still wasn’t back yet, so we contacted him to find out what was going on. At that point he proceeded to tell us that because of the little bit of mold that was there, that if a mold remediation team came out to remove it would cost us over $5000, but that he could do it for $1550. At that point we cancelled the job and demanded that he return our deposit. Long story short, he never gave us our $500 deposit back. Upon further investigation it was found that he has had numerous small claims judgments against him. He is also operating without a Home Improvement certification and isn’t certified to remove mold!"

E&J is a family owned and operated licensed contracting company. We have been in business for over ten years. We are small company that will pay attention to detail and provide excellent customer satisfaction. No job is too small or too big. We do 95% of the work in house and only use highly qualified and licensed subs when we need to. Our estimates are free of charge and we provide in house design services for your projects. We accept most major credit cards and offer financing for qualified clients. Our highest priority is customer satisfaciton.

"Do NOT use these guys! They are terrible. Hugo has abandoned my project, and we are about to begin the litigation them. Hugo is a terrible communicator to his clients and employees. The pool itself looks amazing (My wife and I designed it, not them). And the work, for the most part, was good! But there are things to finish (Correct the panel location, set up the pool panel and programming, set up our app on our phones to control the panel, pass gas test and final inspection) that he did not complete after daily messaging. Pool project started on 10/3/17...we signed a contract agreeing to 90days (Jan 3, 2018)...well here we are, April 25, 2018 with out the entire project completed. Hugo showed up yesterday (4/24/18) since is was the last day for him to complete the project before he breached it, and it was the first time he actually SAW THE POOL, and it was the first time that he has set foot here since November 14th, 2017, which also happens to be the last time he collected a check!! (weird, right?!) Over 5 months ago!!!!! He'll tell you that his crew showing up for the first time in over 8-weeks is his company “continuing to work on your property”. It's the second time his company disappeared for over 2 months during this project. All the problems we had here were directly from Hugo not being here and it was on me to do his job and make sure his employees he sent did the right thing. Perfect set-up for him, Right?! Here you are, paying him tens of thousands of dollars for a project he agreed to, and you end up having to hound him and beg him to finish it! He's unapologetic about everything. There were only 2-3 inspections that I wasn't here alone to do. That's not what i signed up for! I paid full price, I paid every time I was supposed to, and now I'm the one who has to sit and wait for the inspection?! In fact, today we failed our final inspection (for the 3rd time) because we failed the gas test, and the location of the pool panel isnt to code, and some of the pool equipment will have to be moved to provide the required "working space" around our main electrical panel. We'll we have a new contractor that will finish this up. And we'll do everything we can legally to collect what is owed to us by Hugo and his company. Word of advice: Make sure that final payment in the contract is AT LEAST 20% or more...or you wont see your project finished...for sure not by these guys. But the best advice would be DON'T USE THESE GUYS!"
