Your crew was so kind and so professional and meticulous, that they knew that two particular windows were very important to my wife.  Your crew wanted to get them perfect and asked me some questions about them, that I could not answer. My wife was feeling better, but still in the hospital, and I called her on the phone, while your crew waited for me, as she and I discussed for several minutes the exact placement of the windows. Some minor changes had to be made and your crew could have easily just slapped the two windows in the new location, which was only slightly off of the original plan, and be done with it, but they stopped and pointed out where my wife originally wanted them and the new location difference and wanted to be sure that my wife understood the change, and wanted me to talk to my wife first. I was so very impressed that they made the adjustments on the spot that my wife suggested over the phone. I don’t think any other company would have gone through this much trouble to please their customers! <br /> You also were very respectful of our property, neighbors, and your crew were always very willing to stop and explain the process of what was going to happen next. Not one time did we ever feel like we were in your way. Actually, it was the opposite, we felt like you and your crew were very excited to show us your equipment and how it worked and actually wanted us around so we could see how it all worked and so we could see for ourselves how everything was perfect - and it was! <br /> We will always remember you and think of you so highly. Thank you for making the beginning our home building so easy and off to such a perfect start. There are so many things that can go wrong when redoing a home, and having it go off with such a perfect start gives us such great hope. "Overall it went very well...On the down side, Burnham is a small outfit and was not able to do the project for several months after I called them. However, they gave a fairly accurate expected start date. They did a nice job of restoring the foundation to level. They were helpful in telling me which parts of my foundation did and did not need to be repaired, and suggested a cheaper alternative (soaking the soil) for part of the house which seemed like it would also need to be repaired. I found them to be trustworthy for this reason. I'm not sure how good the price was, but it seemed fair based on the cost of the components, man-hours spent on the project, and equipment costs. I'd use Burnham Basement in the future. <br />"

"The guys were friendly enough. Arrived on time. The job itself looks a bit sloppy. Don't think that the cracks and leaks were actually fixed. A membrane was just put up on the wall. In a couple of places, it appears that the membrane may separate from the wall. Clean up was not done very well. I am still sweeping pieces of concrete rubble. As I was going through the final walk through, I noticed that an antique crockery urn had been busted into several pieces.Not sure how it could have been broken as I had placed it out of the way. If I had not noticed, I don't think anything would have been said about it."

"<p>He has done a custom-built closet, which turned out beautiful. He also has completely gutted and remodeled a downstairs bathroom. It turned out beautiful. We bought our hot tub from him when he was in the hot tub business. We have had the hot tub for 16 years. He does very good work and is pretty knowledgeable, but one has to have patience with him because he gets off in different directions sometimes. I put up with it because I like what he does. Some people might be a little bugged because sometimes he says he will be back tomorrow, but then doesn't show up until several days later.  The only issue I have with him is his timeliness. He is working on my deck right now. He is repairing where I have a 100-year-old tree that grew and put a hole in the deck and buckled it up. We are just getting started on that project. For us he has done carpentry, plumbing -- he installed all the toilets and did all the plumbing work. He is also a licensed electrician so he has done electrical work and you name it -- deck work. He is kind of a jack of all trades. Right now I know he is working on someone's basement, supporting steel beams and all that stuff. That is why he has not finished my deck work because he is busy with the basement. He also put in our garbage disposal for us. That guy has done so much I can't remember everything. I have been dealing with him, probably, 20 years plus. On the fence his cost was about $3,000 and the materials were the other $3,000. He will save people money because he has the customer buy the materials after he tells them what he needs. He takes no markup in the materials. He even went with me when I  bought the materials for the fence. He only charges you for his labor. I have several other project for him to do including putting on a garage roof. </p>"

"In early December 2015 I called RamJack in Wichita, KS to come out and assess our basement settling issues.   They took measurements throughout the house and outside to record how much foundation settling had occurred.   Shortly after that, they came back to visit with us about their proposal and what the cost would be.   We thought about it for a while and decided to have them do the work.   They came back on January 20, 2016 to go over it again and we and we signed the contract to have the work done.   Each visit to our home was a 200 mile round trip.   Their crew arrived on Monday February 22, 2016 to begin work.   They excavated down to the basement wall footings and set up to install their lifting equipment.   There where 13 Helix Piers installed outside on the North and West side of the house.   They also did 7 Helix Piers inside the basement on the East wall and 5 Helix Piers on the outside of our attached Garage.   All of the work was completed by mid afternoon on Friday February 26, 2016.   They worked long days and answered all of our questions about what was being done.   We were very pleased with how professional and pleasant everyone from RamJack was and how they cleaned up everything after the work was completed.   RamJack did a great job for us and we are very happy about the outcome."
