Her "house inspector" said that the two color stone was because they came from different parts of the quarry. Steve correctly diagnosed that a new cap was needed and that water was seeping in from the top. Problem solved- the stone dried up in a couple of weeks and is now the same color on the whole chimney. At first I thought the price was a bit high but after I saw the amount of time, material, and workmanship that they completed I thought the price was very fair. Roofs are alot of work as I learned. What I especially liked about Manuel is he did not go cheap and install a torch down rubber roof. He installed a rubber EPDM roof instead.
