We had a few unexpected problems come up during the construction, but Patrick handled them well and did not charge us extra despite additional hours needed to address the problems. "Great experience. The previous reviews were spot-on. This business is all Lazaro - you deal with Lazaro from the beginning and Lazaro is there every day throughout the job. He is personable, patient, explains everything clearly, is prompt, responsive, reasonably priced, sensitive to budget, creative coming up with solutions for unique situations, and flexible on scheduling and on changes that may come up during the job. I could tell he was the one when I first met him; he measured everything and listened carefully to my concerns and suggestions. This is entirely unlike the other highly-rated Angie's List big business from which I requested an estimate, who sent a young marketing guy out who provided a fancy folder, did not really listen (just kept saying "yeah, we can do that, and we'll throw in some other things at no additional cost"), took no measurements and provided an outrageous quote. I've attached a before and after picture. My driveway pavers were spreading apart due to poor drainage due to tire pressure over time. In addition to reinforcing the substructure and sloping the driveway correctly away from the house, Lazaro came up with solutions including beautiful gravel side drains and reinforcing the previously spread-apart area with a concrete border hidden under the gravel. He also reset our fence post that had been rising due to the poor drainage and installed a downspout drain under the reset driveway with a pop-up drain on the other side instead of having the downspout pour directly onto the pavers, which also may have led to our previous problems. And he was creative in redistributing our oil-stained pavers in a random pattern so they wouldn't be as noticeable. Great job."

He helped my wife and I scope out the project and listened to what we wanted and how we wanted to use the space. His suggestions were thoughtful and the end product turned out just as we had envisioned. There was no pressure during the process and he took all the time we needed to answer questions. His crew worked incredibly hard every day they were here, and you could tell they took pride in their work, focused on little details I couldn’t even envision, and had fun while doing it. "We are delighted with the work Robert Construction did for us! They replaced an old paver-built patio behind our house with a beautiful stone one. After removing the old patio, they poured concrete to create a solid structure, then applied a natural stone veneer, with steps connecting the upper level to the lower level. They even installed stone veneer on the vertical surfaces at the edges. Our new patio was completed promptly and beautifully. We are proud of the improvement it brings to our home. All crew members were hard working and well supervised. We could not be happier with the result, at a reasonable price!"
