"Rhonda is your first contact to Kirk construction. She is very helpful and ensures that all phone calls or emails will be responded to very quickly. Within a day of my call, Kirk showed up at my construction site where we reviewed plans for each room's cabinetry. His suggestions about cabinet styles and finishes were perfect. It is a little overwhelming to have to choose cabinetry, doors, etc. for an entire home and Kirk made it a painless process. All the woodwork was delivered perfectly and installed as scheduled. Each day the installers cleaned and vacumed up their worksite-something I appreciated because the other subs had left their trash behind for me to clean up!
When it came time for the bar refrigerator to be installed, we realized that the opening height was too small (specs were wrong from the mfr!), requiring the removal of the granite bar top. It was the last slab of granite in that color so I was terrified that removing it may crack it and I'd be in big trouble. Kirk arrived with his crew, acknowleged my concerns and reassured me all would be fine. Within a very short time, they removed the granite, placed the fridge perfectly inside the cabinet, and completed the job
What I enjoy most about Kirk's cabinetry, is the quality of his workmanship. He is a master at his craft and both he and his employess take great pride in providing a top of the line product that suits your needs and budget."

"I am writing my second review as the work is 2/3 done. The quality is excellent and the value is phenomenal. Ryan the Painter is very thorough and is very particular about the little details and that's what makes a house look exceptional when the job is done. I am extremely pleased on this portion of the job. The stucco work is much better than expected and soon the last part of the job will be done. I am having Curb Appeal put a "cool deck" coating on the front porch. I'll update my review when the entire job is done. This is a really good company and I hope they get more business from my review because I am very particular about getting value and quality for the money I spend and I can tell all of Lake Havasu City that this is a top notch company that does a phenomenal job. I couldn't be more pleased. Please read my final review when the job is done."

FAQs for cabinets reface projects in Oatman, AZ

Absolutely. Refacing returns 65% to 80% of your investment at resale, and you get an updated kitchen right now. Because you’re not paying for new boxes or demo work, the price lands well below complete replacement but still delivers a fresh, custom look that buyers—and you—notice every time you walk in.

To trim costs, start by pricing a high-quality paint or gel stain instead of full refacing—stain alone can be one-third the price of full refacing. Keep existing hinges and pulls if they’re in good shape, and shop sales for sandpaper, primer, and sealer. The sweat equity is real, but so are the savings, and a careful DIY job can still leave your cabinets looking sharp for years to come.

A professional crew needs only three to five days to reface a standard kitchen, although a larger layout or intricate door style may add one to two days. Compare that with the several weeks a full cabinet swap can drag on. In other words, you get your space back fast, often before the paint on the new doors is even fully cured.

Yes, you can replace just the cabinet doors and drawer fronts without covering the cabinet boxes. Cabinet refacing involves installing new doors and drawer fronts while applying veneers to existing cabinet boxes. If you’re satisfied with the condition of your cabinets, swapping doors and drawer fronts reduces labor and materials, saving you time and cost. Always consult a professional to confirm compatibility and ensure a seamless, high-quality finish.

Most cabinet refacing projects do not require removing countertops because professionals can access doors and drawers around existing surfaces. However, if your countertop overhang prevents full access to the cabinet boxes, contractors may need to lift the countertop to install veneers properly temporarily. Discuss this with your refacing specialist during the on-site estimate so you know exactly what the project entails.
