"This review is a long time coming, but it does give me perspective since we have been living with these changes for a while now.The first project was started in late 2013 and finished in  January 2014. It consisted of moving the laundry room to the second floor of our home. The master bedroom is adjoined to the fourth bedroom where we decided to enlarge that room's closet for our washer and dryer, closer to all our bedrooms. The original laundry room was converted to a pantry. The other part of this project was enlarging our master bedroom walk-in closet. It was very narrow and divided into two areas by a wall and door. Young Remodeling managed the project well and had excellent contractors. They provided excellent quality  workmanship in all aspects of the project including extending hardwood flooring into the pantry, tiling the new laundry room floor, installing bi-fold doors, refinishing the ceilings and painting the walls and trim, building the pantry shelves, rerouting electrical and water services to the new laundry location and more. Total cost was about $25,000.
The second project was the kitchen remodel. This project was suppose to start in August 2014, the cabinetry had been received and they were ready to start demolition when a medical issue arose that meant we had to postpone the project. Young was very gracious to hold our new cabinetry in storage until we could restart the project in April, 2015. We had a new kitchen by the end of May. The project consisted of a radically different layout. We worked with Young's designer to come up with a great plan.They provided lots of drawings and paid attention to details to optimize our new kitchen. All of the cabinets were replaced and Young installed all of our new appliances. They re-stained the hardwood floor that extends into our family room. They rewired the kitchen and moved the canned light fixtures to better meet the needs of the new layout and installed our new pendant light fixtures over our new island. They refinished our ceiling, painted and the trim and walls. They figured out the best way to vent the new cook top from it's new location.They installed the new granite counter tops, the new exterior door and a large window. In the family room, in addition to re-staining the hardwood floor, they painted the walls and trim, refinished the ceiling and replace our original wood mantle with a stone mantle. The quality of their work was again outstanding. Both Jenny in the office and Rex in the field were very easy to work with. Rex came back recently(September) and fixed a cabinet problem and converted our pantry shelves from adjustable to fixed, for heavier loading at no charge! Total cost was about $60,000. This did not include the new appliances, window, sink and faucet or pendant light fixtures.
So, now over a 1 1/2 years from the first project and 4 months since the kitchen remodel... we love it all and wouldn't change a thing! We are now working on a list of changes we want to make in other parts of or house and Young Remodeling will be our first choice.

"We had an great experience with DTS Family Plumbing Services. I had an appointment. with a “Large local KC HVAC Company”, to replace our 20-year-old water heater. Then we saw an ad on Angie’s list for the same water heater and install for ½ the price from DTS. I called DTS and spoke with the owner, Anthony Morales, and right off the bat he was extremely personable and took the time to explain the honest process on cost on this type of work. We decided to go with DTS instead for the replacement. Anthony scheduled us in the very next day and arrived along with Tony right on time. They again were very professional in covering the work they were going to do. Within in 1 hour, Anthony and Tony had the new water heater installed, and the old one removed. Having such a great interaction and experience with Anthony and DTS, we are now planning to use them to remodel our bathroom’s at the new house we just purchased. I would strongly recommend DTS Family Plumbing Services for any plumbing or bath remodeling needs moving forward!!!"

"I had a Wonderful experience with this company and with Luke and John who completed our remodel. They showed up on time and it finished the job on time. Every afternoon when they left, they cleaned everything and they left everything nicer than it was when they arrived. They were courteous, professional, conscientious and very skilled at what they do. I am amazed by their skill and craftsmanship and how beautiful our new bathroom is. "Someone from the company came to my house to see and have explained the job I desired  to have done.  The Big Deal had been purchased and paid for.   It was explained to me the peninsula cabinets could be removed and a 4' stub wall could be built, extending from the existing wall, but no taping or mudding would be done.  That would be left to me.  Same for the ceiling, as it was an "unknown" as to what would be condition of the ceiling once the cabinet came down.  It seemed we were in agreement.  At no time was I told there would be an additional $50. charge for moving the cabinets outside or hauling off. 
The two workers that came were very nice and appeared to be experienced, but they did not bring any lumber for studs and only brought one piece of sheetrock that measured 2' x 4'.  I was shown the" instructions" scribbled on a small scrap of paper that was given to them.  It only stated 2 x 4 sheetrock.  So that's what they brought. I said they could go to the local lumber yard and get the material.  They stated their day usually ended at this time and they did not want to stay to do the job.  I reminded them their company was the one who scheduled them to be working at that time.  They had me lead the way to the lumber yard and with my credit card purchase the sheet rock and 2 x 4's they needed.  They did remove the cabinets and put up the wall.  They told me there was an additional $50.  charge for removing the cabinets.  They were very nice about the whole thing.  I feel like their company did not do a good job of providing them with the information and instructions needed to be prepared with materials to do the job.  I also feel it was underhanded and not very professional to have never mentioned the $50. cost that I was later charged.
