We have built new homes and additions, but are more than willing to help with any small job you may have. We do use subs on large jobs, but are more than capable to do most aspects of building and home repair on our own. We can help you through the permit process or pull them in our name. I had called 811 on Monday to mark all the underground cables (the installation was on Friday), but only the water people showed up. No one else showed up by Friday. Apparently more lead time was needed. The Invisible Fence guys said that it was not a problem since their wire was not buried deeply, and thus not should not interfere with existing buried lines. My dog was familiar with an electric collar system, so the training requirements for him were less than if he did not have such prior experience. All in all, it was a good installation. We will see how the future support goes, but it has started well."

Fence posts are typically placed four to eight feet apart. Check with your local code requirements to ensure the correct spacing, depth, and setting. The placement of your fence posts depends on the fence height and material. Generally speaking, it's better for the fence if your posts are closer together.
To avoid upheavals or other issues, bury your fence post so the depth exceeds the frost line, or about one-third to one-half of the aboveground height of your post. Check with your local code requirements to determine the right depth for your home since it varies by location.
