Mold identification, mold test kits and testing supplies. If you suspect you have a mold problem give us a call toll free and we can walk you through your testing options.

"The self-test product was as expected. The reports require additional research to interpret and understand, so seemed more targeted at professionals."

Full service mold remediation and testing company serving Connecticut and Rhode Island with over 42 years of construction experience. Our analysis begins when we identify the source of the mold and correct the problem creating the issue. Our 42 years of experience in construction is what sets us apart. Only then can we remove the mold. We take the time to educate every customer in the process ensuring a full understanding of the problem. Our executive staff if fully trained and possess degrees in Biology and Environmental Sciences. Free visual examinations and reports. Free estimates. We also provide Pet odor removal and carpet treatment for mold and odors. All our products are biodegradable and non-toxic to humans and pets.

"I would definitely hire Shoreline Environmental, again, if I needed to. This company sent two employees to do the job who were extremely polite, consciencious and skilled at renovation (carpentry and sheet rock) as well as mold removal. Soup to nuts. They wore protective masks whenever they were in my home whether or not in the basement or house. Their demeanor on the job was very professional. They re-explained what they were doing for containment to prevent mold spores from escaping. Prior to the job, the owner, Mark DeAngelis, thoroughly explained the process from beginning to end. We had two companies to choose from and chose this company because they were safe and able to do the complete job from remediation to renovation. The other company would have left us with the bare studs. Also, Mark did not have a high pressure approach and was patient with our repetitive questions. And he threw in a couple more repairs at no cost since they were there, already! During the job I learned that Mark's employees were employed for a very, very long time by Mark. NOT fly by nights! They had a mutual respect for each other which showed positively in their work attitudes. I have hired many companies and this one is a keeper!"

What sets us apart from other companies is our highly trained staff of professional geologists and hydrologists, as well as technicians. We do not use sub-contractors or rental equipment. We are authorized by New York, Connecticut, and New Jersey to remove and haul contaminated material. Our Services: Tank Removals, Abandonments & Installations, 24 Hour Emergency Spill Response, Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR), Geoprobe & Vac Truck Services, Water, Soil, Air Testing/Monitoring , Liquid/Soil Transportation & Disposal, Petroleum Facility Compliance Audits (Class A/B Operator), Phase I & II Environmental Site Assessment, and more.

"This review was 5 stars until about a week ago. I needed a new oil tank installed last year. C2G came out and performed the task. They were the most cost effective option so I went with them. The install was a success and the tank looks great. However, a couple weeks after I had to have them back out again to fix the leaking oil filter. They came out, tightened it, and it stopped leaking... for that period of time. Fast forward to this year and getting ready for the colder months. I noticed a small puddle underneath the filter, again. This would be the 3rd time I would have needed them to come out to repair it. At that point I question if it was installed correctly or not. I called them asking if they could come out, they said with a fee and showed opposition in understanding where I was coming from, saying I was outside of their 45 day guarentee. The lady I spoke with said she would speak to her supervisor and follow up with me. That never happened. I had to have a plumber over to my house, and luckily he was able to repair the leak. The rubber gasket was malformed inside, causing the slow leak. Despite a smooth install, I was really disappointed with how they treated a previous customer. They really didn't care that their work was sub-par. A newly installed oil tank should not be leaking a year later. I will not use this company again."

FAQs for toxic lead testing projects in Old Saybrook, CT

If your home was built before 1978, there’s a strong chance it contains lead-based paint. Many pre-1980 houses also contain lead in their plumbing and decorative materials, so age alone is a significant red flag. Older homes near industrial areas face an even higher risk. Because you can’t confirm lead by sight, scheduling a test is the safest way to protect your family.

In older houses, lead can lurk in painted trim, window sashes, soil around the foundation, plumbing pipes, and even vintage hardware. The metal is toxic, and children and pregnant women are most at risk. Exposure can trigger developmental delays, learning problems, and organ damage. Because the EPA links even low levels to serious health effects, test every suspected surface and address any hazards right away.

A positive test means lead is present somewhere you can touch, breathe, or disturb. The next step is a full risk assessment to map exactly where the hazard lies and outline the safest fix: encapsulation, enclosure, or full removal. Repairs start at $1,000 but can exceed $10,000 for complete elimination, so act quickly and hire certified pros to keep your family safe.

EPA lead certification proves that inspectors, risk assessors, and abatement contractors follow federal safety rules under the Renovation, Repair, and Painting (RRP) Program. The credential costs an average of $300, and certified professionals can legally test, contain, or remove lead hazards. Hiring a certified pro protects you from fines and ensures the work meets strict health standards.

Lead-based paint looks no different from any other paint, so you can’t identify it by color or sheen. Even flawless walls may hide it. If paint starts chipping, flaking, or peeling, schedule a professional test right away. Only laboratory-grade testing confirms lead and guides the safest fix for your home.
