"Jose and his crew installed a~360 sq. ft. patio using Nicolock pavers and contrasting charcoal border pavers in 2.5 days. Outstanding job. When I asked them about using edging to prevent the pavers from shifting, I was told that he does not use edging. Instead the perimeter is first installed as retaining wall blocks set in mortar! After the perimeter is set, the site is then excavated, compacted, covered with weed suppressing fabric. The fabric is then covered with crushed stone layer, compacted and sand is then laid on top, compacted and leveled and properly graded. I chose the herringbone design shown in their logo and very happy with the choice. The border pavers are laid on top of the retaining wall blocks and are "glued" to them using mortar/liquid cement. After the border pavers had set, the crew applied polymer sand to fill in the gaps between pavers. This "grouting" was done twice. The final product is solid as a rock and not going anywhere! VERY HAPPY WITH THEIR WORK. Jose Espinal's company is insured and bonded, so hire them for your project and be worry free."

"We were looking into redoing our old deck and got a quote which we thought was reasonable for our large deck. Then for another estimate, we called 7th State Builders. They explained that for the same cost, we could get a paver stone patio (which in the long run is far less maintenance). The owner worked with our budget and the gentlemen who laid our pavers were extremely professional and worked within our wishes. They removed the deck and finished the patio in about a week. Awesome job! After a week or so, it had rain for a period of time and we noticed that a small dip in the patio was collecting a puddle. After a call, they came out and fixed the problem. "Fernando came by to provide an estimate within a day of the request and completed the job within a week. The work they did removing and replacing the cracked mortar joints was excellent. They completely removed the mortar between the bricks as opposed to just cutting a small area of the mortar out before replacing it with new mortar. The new mortar is much whiter than the old mortar but hopefully the repair will be less noticeable after cleaning the old mortar and exposure of the new mortar to the elements."
