"Wow!  Rob, his services, and prices are AWESOME!  This is a very atypical installation service, basically you buy any fence you want from a retail store (in my case Amazon) and he installs it for you, that's it.  It's not a full-service operation, but I love that.  All I really wanted was someone to install it for me.  I knew I would have to rent an edger and even then it would probably take me all day considering I hadn't done it before (plus my backyard is just woods so there is a lot brush).  Rob said he had been doing it for many years, he uses a converted edger with a saw blade and a reel of wire (he upgrades the strength of your wire for free).  So he just walks along and as his device is digging a trench, cutting through brush and  he's simultaneously laying the wire.  And even though he says that he doesn't do anything more than that, he did take the time to explain to me how to operate the system and collar.  <br> <br>I had priced out full service companies and they were always over $1000.  This was $300 for installation and $300 for the fence itself (which I paid for separately), I figure I at least saved myself $400. <br> <br>I really can't recommend this enough as long as you understand that you'll do all the dog training yourself (it's not that hard). <br> <br>Word of Advice: Rob prefers texting to phone calls. <br> <br> <br> <br>"

"The person who answered the phone was friendly. I told that one of my gates on a fence that The Fence Co. had installed some years ago was sagging and I needed a service call. He insisted that I take a photo of the gate with my phone and email it to him before he scheduled the call so that, "they would know what to bring with them to be able to fix it." When I explained that I had never taken or emailed a phone photo, he explained how I might do that. I did figure out how to take and send the photo, and he promptly called me back. He explained that their minimum charge for a service call was $275.00 but that he could explain to me how to fix it myself and save the money---which he then tried to do. I find it disappointing that The Fence Co. does not have a reasonable scale of charges to provide repair services for customers who buy their product. It is their right not to, but I would not use them again to install a fence for me because of it, nor would i recommend them to someone on that bases. I have left their "The Fence Co. w/phone#" sign on my gate all these years, but it is coming off this weekend."

"I contact EME Fencing in early September. Mary Anne was very polite and said the estimator, Ron, would call back. Ron called the same day and came to the house within two days to provide an estimate. He recommended solid steel railing versus the hollow square tubing that had deteriorated. Very personable, Ron listened to my thoughts regarding the redesign of the railing and offered some very good suggestions for recycling some of the decor pieces and the layout options. We agreed that this was a 'small job' and that he would try to fit it in when in the area. I did not hear from Ron for a couple of weeks so I called his offices. I was told I would get a return call, but did not. On the third attempt I was connected to Ron and an appointment was set for the following Friday morning. On Friday morning Ron arrives on time, followed by Doug the welder. We reviewed the plan for the day and Ron said Doug would take care the railing installation. To say the least, Doug was amazing! He didn't rush the job. He measured in detail. He recommended drilling a new hole for a support post as the concrete was beginning to crack where the old boring had been made. He then bored the railing holes, cut the steel and proceed to install the new railing, filling the bored holes with a sealant. Doug did a superb job. He even repaired a crack in the concrete step that he felt would get worse during freeze and thaw cycles. I know my job was 'small' but he treated it as if it was the only job he had to complete. It's because of his attention to detail and his craftsmanship that I rated EME as high as I did. I am very pleased with the work performed and the price paid. I want to note that, other than client services follow-up skills, this is a very nice company to work with. I selected them as an Angie's List referral. In one of the comments made I read that another subscriber had some of the same difficulties but was quite satisfied with the amount paid and the quality of work performed. I selected the company based on the good reports, and was prepared to address the negative parts. I'm glad I did."
