"A dog sitter we should have never trusted started a small fire in our kitchen while we were away and caused a lot of damage. The insurance company estimated the damages and made a proposal. I’ve reached out to LHI, who I found here on Angie’s and had them come out and do an estimate. I was concerned that the money insurance company offered may not be enough. I let the estimator know the amount the insurance company offered and he said that they will make it work. I figured I will also ask for an estimate to repaint the remainder of our home since we are already redoing the kitchen and the dining room. I felt they were very reasonable in their pricing and I decided to let them do an entire house. They did a very good job and had we had any other painting work, I would not hesitate to hire them. They came back and resolved the problem but they also did additional work; they really are not the best painters. "We contacted Comfort Basements as a starting point in our research on foundation repair and basement waterproofing, toward a grander plan of adding on to our home. Jesse came out to visit us for a free inspection and estimate, and unbeknownst to us, some really awesome advice about how to proceed with our grander plans. While we still know that we need to waterproof and repair a portion of our foundation, Jesse honestly and openly told us that we needed to start with an architect and get our "Grand Plans" in order before he could give us any estimates on any kind of work that would need to be done, depending on what would need to be done structurally to support the addition. He also suggested somethings NOT to do in the mean time, and how we might proceed from here.
While we're not working with Jesse and Comfort Basement at the moment, he will be at the top of our list when the time does come! Big thanks to him. Highly recommend!
