Since 1992, Town and Country Lawn Care is a family owned company servicing in Southern Chester County. We are a local company that gives back to the community where we live. Our kids go to local schools, we shop in the local stores, and coach our children in the community. In the earlier years, it became apparent that there was a customer service void in the landscape industry that we knew we could fill. Just doing mediocre work, with below average customer attention, and communication, seemed to be the norm. Our goal was to provide superior customer service with quality workmanship. We are very proud to have achieved an unprecedented annual customer retention rate of 98% and get most of our business as referrals from satisfied customers. As a further commitment to the utmost in professionalism, our crews are always dressed in Town and Country Lawn Care, uniforms, and a supervisor is always on site. We welcome your questions and thank you for your interest.

"The team did such a beautiful on removing piles of debris and finishing our pre-fall cleanup. They went above and beyond and were very affordable. We are looking forward to more projects with Town and Country and already have the next job in mind!"

From Concept to Completion. Plymouth Nursery & Landscape Co. provides design and build services for projects such as landscape, hardscape, lighting, irrigation, drainage , water features , outdoor kitchens, pavilions, porches and more. After your project has been completed we offer complete maintenance services to protect your investment.

"We hired Plymouth Meeting Nursery to completely transform the exterior landscape of our 100+ year-old home, where we live with our three young children and our ever-faithful golden retriever. As a licensed landscape architect, we approached this project with high standards and were looking for a contractor who offered fair, transparent pricing, excellent craftsmanship, and timely execution. Plymouth Meeting Nursery delivered on all counts. The scope of work was extensive and included the demolition of all existing landscaping, a deck, concrete walkways, fencing, and excess soil. In its place, the team installed new fencing, a beautiful cedar pergola, repointed brickwork on our home, irrigation, a synthetic lawn alongside fresh sod and thoughtfully selected plantings, outdoor lighting, a stunning bluestone patio with brick steps and retaining wall, a brick and bluestone fireplace, and a fully equipped outdoor kitchen featuring a grill, sink, ice maker, and refrigerator. The project spanned nearly five months, during which a few scope changes arose. Each one was handled professionally and flexibly by John and his team. Their commitment was clear: the crew showed up consistently and kept the momentum going, which we greatly appreciated. We couldn’t be more proud of the results and highly recommend Plymouth Meeting Nursery for your next outdoor project. They’ve helped us create a space that’s not only functional and beautiful—but truly feels like a new extension of home."

Homeowners, landscapers, contractors, and property managers in Southeastern Pennsylvania rely on us for the supplies and services that beautify their landscapes from season to season, year after year.

"I can not comment on the product quality because I never placed an order. I will comment on the totally unprofessional and unhinged behavior of the person/people answering the phone. I called on 4/30/20 at 4:49pm to inquire about having 2 yards of soil delivered on 5/2. I spoke with a man (no identification) who told me that he would take my number and call me back tomorrow. I gave him my name and number and hung up the phone. I received a call this morning (5/1/20) at 6:52 am from a female as a follow up. She quoted me 112-116$ for two yards of soil. I asked about what time I can expect the soil to be delivered on 5/2. She told me that it could be any time between 7-1pm. She then started to explain in detail how they process the deliveries at their site, which was ok but too much information. I then asked specifically what type of soil I was being quoted, at which point she told me that she could not tell me because I never told her what it was being used for. I said some was for a flower bed and some would be used for my lawn. She stated that the quote was for screened topsoil because that was the best for my application. At this point I was concerned with the vague nature of her responses and stated that I would have to call her back to schedule the delivery as I thought the price was a bit high and wanted to explore other options. All of sudden a male voice came onto the phone unidentified and started yelling at me about how I don't know what I'm talking about and that I should call "Mr. Mulch", because they'll be sure to get it to me "by Thursday". I attempted to slow this guy down and he then stated "Aren't you the guy who called me after 5 yesterday?" I told him I called just before 5, he told me I was lying. He then asked me what I do for a living. I said "I guess you don't want my business." He told me that he did not need my business, that he had more business than he knows what to do with, and hung up the phone. I am dumbfounded at this behavior. I can't help but assume that the call at 6:52am was punitive for some kind of perceived slight of calling his business after 5pm, even though I clearly did not. It is not acceptable to call a private residence at that time without prior discussion. This person isn't right in the head, and a search of other online reviews bears out a pattern of this type of behavior. This business should be avoided at all costs. I can only imagine what type of response a customer would receive if there was a problem with their delivery. I am thankful that I never got to that point."

FAQs for sod installation projects in Oxford, PA

Seeding costs less up front, but you’ll wait months—and sometimes a full season—for the grass to fill in. Sod costs more per square foot, yet it gives you an instant, usable lawn the day it’s installed and needs far less care during the first year.

If speed and early curb appeal matter, the higher sod price is often worth it; if you’re watching every dollar and don’t mind the wait, seed can still be a smart play.

Start by sketching your lawn and breaking it into rectangles or circles. Measure each section, multiply length by width, and then add all the sections together for the total square footage. Standard sod rolls are two feet by 1.5 feet, and one pallet covers 450 square feet.

Divide your total area by 450 to see how many pallets you need, then round up—extras come in handy for cutting around curves or mistakes. Still unsure? A local sod supplier or installer can confirm your math before you order.

Most sod grips the soil within 10 to 14 days. During that stretch, keep foot traffic to a minimum and mow only if the grass gets tall. After two weeks, the roots should be strong enough for light use, but wait six weeks before heavy play or frequent mowing. Giving the grass that short honeymoon helps it anchor firmly and sets the stage for a durable, healthy lawn.

Give your new lawn two full weeks before any foot traffic, then stick to light use only. Hold off on vigorous play, parties, or regular mowing until the six-week mark so the roots can dig deep. Keep watering on schedule and watch for any dry patches. A little patience now means stronger turf and fewer repairs later.

Keep an eye on color, moisture, and even growth. Fresh sod should stay uniformly green; brown spots or gaps hint at dry soil or poor contact. Water deeply at least once a day for the first week (more in hot weather) and back off gradually after the roots take. Avoid heavy foot traffic until the grass feels firmly anchored. Quick attention to trouble spots now prevents costly patches later.

Aim for spring or early fall when daytime temps hover between 55°F and 80°F. Mild weather and consistent moisture help the roots knit quickly. Laying sod in midsummer can stress the grass, while frozen winter soil blocks rooting altogether.

If you must install outside the ideal window, budget extra time for watering and tending to the turf. Choosing the right season makes the job easier and the lawn tougher.
