"I spoke with several contractors for my patio project in November 2024 and chose this company, which turned out to be a mistake. Material delivery took about three months (I was warned this could happen), and work began a few weeks later but appeared rushed. The crew did not remove the existing concrete pad, measurements were incorrect, and multiple elements were placed improperly. The patio was built at the maximum allowable slope for drainage, which is very noticeable. Within weeks, pavers began cracking. I was asked to wait to see if more would crack ? they did. It then took months for anyone to inspect the issue. Nearly a year after the contract was signed, repairs were attempted. What should have been a one-day job took 4?5 days due to poor preparation. While removing damaged pavers, they cut into undamaged ones and only replaced some. The result includes uneven pavers, visible cuts, mismatched colors, and unresolved issues. There was no follow-up. I do not recommend"

"I have been a customer of Keith Longden’s landscaping service for 15 years. I enjoy working with Keith and his crew on our landscaping projects. Normal seasonal work, new plantings, and special projects such lake dock removal & retention wall construction. Over the years Keith has shown to be very creative with his landscaping suggestions. I have to acknowledge Keith exceptional response to our yard cleanup after last years hurricanes. The quick cleanup and debris removal gave a real sense of normalcy. I would recommend Keith and his team for any landscaping or other property project. "

"They did a wonderful job of lifting my sinking pavers, opening up the voids, filling the voids, compacting, resetting the pavers, cleaning, regrouping and sealing. They did a better job then when I had it built just over 3 years ago. "

Customers say: Terrific value

"I worked with Ira for about two months on a retaining wall project behind my pool cage. Ira helped me through the HOA approval process, providing detailed description, material lists and applicable drawings. We communicated primarily through text and Ira was very responsive and let me know what to expect next and when. My project was a relatively small one for Apex but Ira was able to get crews to my home between larger projects and was flexible with our schedule. There also was some additional unanticipated labor needed to complete my project and I was not charged additionally. Ira stuck to the original quote. He also made every effort to keep our large foxtail palms. I would highly recommend this company and will hire them again should the need arise."

FAQs for interlocking pavers for driveways & floors installation projects in Palmetto, FL

With proper maintenance, permeable pavement can last for over 20 years. Bi-annual vacuuming prevents clogs from debris and sediment, extends the pavement’s lifespan, and helps you avoid costly driveway repairs. Permeable pavement often has a shorter lifespan in areas with heavy traffic or harsh weather conditions.

Pervious and porous usually refer to pouring asphalt or concrete—which is a single massive object—but with enough small holes to allow for even drainage. This is also sometimes called thirsty concrete. Permeable concrete pavers are precast concrete designed to also allow for drainage. Permeable grass pavers allow grass to grow through them and provide drainage.

Pervious, porous, and permeable pavers are similar because they make it easier for rain or snow to drain or absorb into the ground rather than overload the storm or sewer systems.

The most significant benefit of water-permeable pavement is that it helps precipitation absorb better (and slower) into the ground, which avoids overloading sewers and causing overflows and backups. It also helps recharge the groundwater and prevent agricultural runoff from lawns.

If you’ve ever seen water rushing into a storm drain, permeable pavement prevents that. Instead of water running off a steep driveway, a good amount of it “soaks” directly underneath the pavement.

Topmix permeable concrete costs $8 to $16 per square foot, including all installation costs. However, they give out estimates on a project-by-project basis. However, Tarmac, the company that made the product, no longer produces Topmix.

Ecoraster is a brand that offers many different permeable paving options in North America. Prices vary depending on the product and project. They’ll give estimates for each individual project. While not actual pavers, these grids serve a similar function. Ecoraster grids come in various styles and allow for similar drainage compared to permeable pavers or porous paving.

Permeable driveways may cost slightly more than a traditional paving type, but they reduce or eliminate the need to install any other type of drainage system. Drainage systems cost $2,000 to $6,500 to install. They also reduce stormwater runoff, sewer overflows, and help eliminate urban agriculture runoff, which can pollute waterways.
