"The work was very well done. The owner, Yoni, is very professional. I hired Quality 1 for mold remediation after leaks in my apartment. They did an excellent job and are also a contracting company. I hired them to renovate my apartment. Yoni has good ideas and is very helpful. He made very good suggestions as to how to save money on some of the renovation work. I do not live in Florida and he was able to work with me long distance through emails, phone calls, texts and send pictures with suggestions. I am very happy with the outcome. Would highly recommend and hire again."

"I called them one afternoon and they arranged to come over the next afternoon at 1 PM.  They arrived about 10 minutes early and the testing took about 35 minutes.  They scratched the paint to be able to test for lead.  Treated the spot with the indicator solution and took pictures of any color change after a few minutes.  They prepared a report that afternoon and e-mailed me the report by the end of the day.  The report was concise and included before and after photos of the points they tested.  <br /> There was a typo in the report that mistakenly indicated the presence of lead which was different than what they had told me when they were here.  I sent an e-mail asking about the difference and later that evening got a corrected version of the report showing no lead detected. <br />"

"Rob A came out and tested the area we thought their may be mold. He used his equipment and also went up into the attic to check for any leaks and did not find anything. Rob A called before he came out and was right on time. He was very professional and personable and we appreciated his thoughts on the matter. I asked him how much we owe for the service call and he said there was no charge. I will use this company if we ever do have a water leak. Thank you!!"

"The process was very streamlined. I was out of state so needed to have easy electronic communication. The reports were all professional and produced in electronic format so they could be emailed to me in a timely manner. The appointment time was met which made it easy on me since I was depending on local contacts to be available. When a follow-up re-test was needed after the seller made some required changes, Mr. Miller was able to fit in the revisit in a timely manner. I was very satisfied with the experience. <br />"

"I received an email from the provider with the contact information to set up an appointment. When I called, the service provider informed me that we are out of their network but would still be willing to come out to make an estimate. He just wanted to make sure that I was aware of the deduction that would be made because of the travel expenses. He was extremely professional and honest, which I appreciated immensely. I asked if I could get a refund because the entire project would've cost more than I had allotted and he suggested I contact Angie's List directly. I then submitted a question to Angie's List and was given the link to fill out this form."

"Lumber Liquidators sold me laminate flooring. I was very happy with the quality and beauty of the laminate floors. Recently they have had issues with chemicals coming from the flooring and if that was true then I would need for them, or worst case, me to replace them. Therefore, it was important to know if there was a problem. I hired Indoor Air Quality Solutions to come with equipment and test all the rooms. Lydia came and she was very pleasant and used testing equipment and there was no problem. I have a written report so show anyone in the future that may rent or buy the house. The testing all went well and I can recommend this service. <br />"

"Tatiana was quick at responding and came the next day for mold testing. She took five samples and I got the results back a week later. She was very good about explaining the results and what steps needed to be done to remediate the issue."

FAQs for toxic lead testing projects in Palmetto, FL

If your home was built before 1978, there’s a strong chance it contains lead-based paint. Many pre-1980 houses also contain lead in their plumbing and decorative materials, so age alone is a significant red flag. Older homes near industrial areas face an even higher risk. Because you can’t confirm lead by sight, scheduling a test is the safest way to protect your family.

In older houses, lead can lurk in painted trim, window sashes, soil around the foundation, plumbing pipes, and even vintage hardware. The metal is toxic, and children and pregnant women are most at risk. Exposure can trigger developmental delays, learning problems, and organ damage. Because the EPA links even low levels to serious health effects, test every suspected surface and address any hazards right away.

A positive test means lead is present somewhere you can touch, breathe, or disturb. The next step is a full risk assessment to map exactly where the hazard lies and outline the safest fix: encapsulation, enclosure, or full removal. Repairs start at $1,000 but can exceed $10,000 for complete elimination, so act quickly and hire certified pros to keep your family safe.

EPA lead certification proves that inspectors, risk assessors, and abatement contractors follow federal safety rules under the Renovation, Repair, and Painting (RRP) Program. The credential costs an average of $300, and certified professionals can legally test, contain, or remove lead hazards. Hiring a certified pro protects you from fines and ensures the work meets strict health standards.

Lead-based paint looks no different from any other paint, so you can’t identify it by color or sheen. Even flawless walls may hide it. If paint starts chipping, flaking, or peeling, schedule a professional test right away. Only laboratory-grade testing confirms lead and guides the safest fix for your home.
