"We had Sam, Bradley, and Mason assist us with a move from one part of King County to the other. They were kind, patient, professional, adhered to CDC COVID-19 guidelines, and made our experience much more pleasant. Moreover, Emma also helped us locate crating and packing materials for the move."

"Fantastic. I paid hourly for two guys, with an extra helper added for free. It turned out that the piano was so heavy that they needed to call in one of the managers to help out as well. They padded all items and wrapped them in plastic for the move. As I had extra moving blankets in my garage I simply gave those to them and kept the padding and plastic wrap for storage (tip: buy moving blankets at Harbor Freight). The guys were very professional and accomodating. Even helped me with lifting a couch from the house into the garage and getting the door back on its hinges. Highly recommended, and I use moving companies a lot as I deal in rental properties. Never found a company that I wanted to repeat hire, until now."

"My mother used Moving APT for her recent long-distance relocation, and they did an excellent job. Their skillful packing and loading ensured that all of my belongings would make it to their new home in one piece. They handled every aspect of the move with kindness, transparency, and care. If you’re planning a long-distance relocation, I highly recommend them."

"Workers were polite and respectful, but amateurs compared to other movers I have worked with in the past. Past movers have easily moved files and dressers without removing drawers, for example, while these movers removed all drawers and left them out once delivered to the new location. Speed and efficiency was also somewhat lower than others I have worked with. They were adequately careful with items and nothing was significantly damaged."

"They were the best movers I have EVER worked with. They were prompt, very efficient, polite and extremely helpful. Everyone involved with this move could not get over how well the move went because of the fine service we received from Red Rock Movers. They were also very helpful with helping people in our party to carry boxes out of their cars into the elevator on the unload portion of the move.

"They were very professional and really took care of us. We had a lot of stuff to move out of storage and into our new house but they got it done in a timely manner and didn't make us go over the time limit we estimated. They were truly amazing and all of them deserve raises."

"It went excellent. From the moment we contacted Kelly at Kellogg movers we knew we had made the right choice to move our large and valuable furniture. Kelly came quickly and gave us an excellent bid and price. Even though they were very busy at this time of year, they made time to complete our move. The day of the move Kelly and his team of professionals called ahead as they were enroute to advise us of their impending arrival, and upon arrival quickly went to work. They laid down protective covers in the high traffic areas and then wrapped and padded each piece before hauling it out to their truck. They were extremely careful to not damage either the house or the furniture. The professional moving crew was very friendly and responsive to our needs. We drove them over to our new home and they began the process of unloading and moving the furniture into the rooms where we needed them in our new home, again with all of the attention to detail and care that they showed in loading. They placed our items carefully where we directed them and even set a few of the heavier items exactly where we needed them with our direction. After they were finished, we were so grateful for Kelly and his teams great work and found it to be a great value for what we paid them. After they left, we realized that we had not given them direction on where to place our stand up freezer and it had been placed nicely in the garage on a wall where probably most people would place it. However we had built a special place inside our home in a pantry for it. We called Kelly to let them know that we had failed to direct them on placement of the freezer and without hesitation he told us he would get it taken care of ASAP. I knew they had left us to go to their next appointment and we told him it would be fine to have them come later when it was more convenient for them and their schedule. But in true Kelly and Kellogg fashion, we had 2 of the professionals standing at our door within 30 minutes of our call to Kelly about the mixup!!!.. Kelly and Kellogg came highly recommended from some of our very good friends whom had Kelly and his team move them 3 times!!!... and it was the best choice we could have made after our experience with them. We will definitely be using them the next time we or anyone we know needs a professional, dedicated, and all around excellent moving company. THANK YOU KELLY!!! Sincerely, Marc and Janaye Carlile South Jordan, Utah"

FAQs for out-of-state moving service projects in Park City, UT

How much money you need to live comfortably in Hawaii varies based on your housing preferences, transportation needs, and lifestyle. Many residents find ways to manage on moderate incomes by choosing less touristy neighborhoods and adapting to local living patterns. Creating a detailed budget that accounts for housing, transportation, groceries, and utilities provides a clearer picture of your specific requirements.

Living in Hawaii on $3,000 monthly is possible with careful budgeting and lifestyle adjustments. Success largely depends on housing costs, which vary significantly between neighborhoods and islands. Many residents find shared living arrangements or smaller accommodations in less expensive areas help manage expenses. Prioritizing necessities, limiting dining out, and embracing local recreational options that don't require significant spending can help stretch your monthly budget while still enjoying island living.

The hidden costs of moving to Hawaii often include unexpected shipping surcharges, agricultural inspection fees, and initial setup expenses. Many newcomers are surprised by delivery access fees for difficult locations, temporary accommodation needs while waiting for household goods, and higher utility deposits. Island-specific expenses like specialized pest control services and humidity-resistant storage solutions may also become necessary. Building a contingency fund of 10 to 15% above your estimated moving budget helps accommodate these unforeseen expenses.

How long it takes to ship household goods to Hawaii depends primarily on your chosen shipping method and departure location. Standard ocean freight often requires three to six weeks from mainland ports, with shared containers sometimes taking longer due to consolidation schedules. Air shipping dramatically reduces transit time to days rather than weeks, but at significantly higher cost. Many residents adopt a hybrid approach, sending essential items by air while allowing bulk possessions to follow by sea.

Whether you need special permits to move to Hawaii depends on the possessions you’re bringing. While American citizens don't need immigration documentation, certain items face strict regulation. Agricultural products, plants, and some animals require special permits or inspection certificates. Vehicle importation requires specific documentation and potential emissions testing. Large shipping containers may need delivery permits in certain residential areas. Consulting with transportation specialists familiar with Hawaii's requirements helps avoid compliance issues.

The items you’re prohibited from shipping to Hawaii include numerous plants, seeds, and fresh produce that might introduce invasive species to the islands' delicate ecosystem. Certain animals face strict prohibition, particularly snakes and other potential invasive species. Hazardous materials, firearms without proper documentation, and controlled substances cannot be shipped. Review current prohibited items lists from shipping companies and Hawaii's Department of Agriculture before packing, as regulations can change, and violations may result in significant penalties.
