"They removed the old driveway and put down the new in two days then they replaced a old sidewalk with a new one and it only took two days they were very good at laying concrete if you want landscaping done to fish off the driveway make sure you tell them to include in the quote. They will need to bring in dirt or sand to finish your edges which you need to ask they include in the quote. But they were very courteous and on time"

I am 22 years old working full time and trying to get a business started on the side. Even though I am young I have lots of experience. "I had the walkway from the house replaced, plus widened along with the entire driveway and sidewalks in front of the house during the last week of April and first week of May this year (2026). The previous concrete areas had shifted, sunk, along with cracking and tilling due to age, wear and tear plus multiple city water main breaks in the 50 years since the house was originally built. Jason L. at bigtexcc.jason@gmail.com did the estimate, work with his crew on site beginning to end. This included the estimate, a recent survey and permitting for what we were having done. He used all of his own equipment to remove the old concrete, setting up forms based on what we wanted enlarged in some areas and the setting up of the rebar, scheduling the delivery of concrete and getting the new wet concrete throughout where it was needed without damaging areas outside of the desired work spaces. I found Jason thru Angie's list and like others that spoke so highly of his work on the Angie site."

"RE Mendez is a man of his word. He and his crew did an excellent job of removing the old driveway and installing a new driveway. They did the job in 2 days and came back the third day and cleaned up the area and restored some of the grass. In my opinion he knows this business. He is a pleasant person to work with. "I had problems in our back yard with water pooling during heavy rainfall and was concerned about possible flooding of our house and garage.  We have a pool and concrete patio, so I knew this was not going to be an easy fix.

Rob came out and spent about 2 hours looking over our situation and talking about options.  After he left, he came up with a single plan with components so we could proceed one step at a time, then wait and evaluate the success of that step or do a number of steps at once. 

Since we we were very concerned about the possibility of flooding, we elected to proceed with regrading, adding an exterior drainage line from the garage to the street, replacing an existing line from the house to the street, adding catch basins and re-grading areas around the house and garage.

The work was done at the days and times arranged; the crew was very considerate and professional and the work was beautiful.  

Most importantly, we have had several very heavy rainfalls and the solutions we had implemented by Works By Rob are performing as well as we had hoped.   We had no accumulation of water and no worries!"
