"June 2010 Jamie installed a new concrete driveway for me. At the time I was pleased. A year has passed and the drive is flaking and crumbling with chunks missing which Jamie says is due to salt. Untrue! We never put salt on it; in fact, we weren't in residence during most of last winter. Our neighbors used Jamie on our recommendation and had the same problem. They didn't salt and kept their cars in the garage. He refused to repair or replace. We are convinced that he either used bad concrete or worked the surface too much so that stones are literally rising and popping through the surface. Our drives looks like they're 10 yrs. old."

"This past august Hastings and sons did a major concrete project for us. This project included a 12 ft by 12 ft slab for a shed, removal and replacement of a 12 ft by 24 ft patio including step, replacement of front poach, side walk, and removal and replacement of a 16 by 36 ft driveway. We were very disappointed with the workmanship of the driveway. We also received numerous negative comments from friends and neighbors. After seeing the driveway in person, the owner, Shawn Hastings, said the work definitely did not meet his companies standards. at our request He agreed to replace the entire driveway (For a nominal fee). This past week he made good on his promise and he and his crew replaced the driveway. We have since received Several comments from the people who saw it the first time. and they were amazed at how much better it looks now. We gladly give this work a 5 star rating (6 star if we could). They worked well together as a team, were meticulous in doing the job right, especially in their attention to detail, and were very respectful. It was a pleasure meeting them."

"I needed to replace my front brick steps from Brick to Concrete. We have been running into loose bricks, pretty much after each winter, to the extent that I was concerned about safety of visitors (my brother-in-law fell on a loose brick). Chris and crew showed up on time (like 1 min early!). And they did a great job taking all the bricks out and pouring concrete instead to give us a peace of mind and a good looking concrete steps. Throughout the process, Chris explained to me what is going on in detail and answered all my questions. I probably asked him the same question a few times and he patiently answered my questions. Chris is a master mason with specialty in concrete. He knows what he is doing and does it well. He is humorous, generous and a gentleman. Chris (personally) spent a lot of time power washing other areas of my pavers even though that was not part of the deal. I offered to pay him for it but he refused and said "I just want the place to look gorgeous when I leave. I highly recommend Chris and his team for any concrete / cement work."

"Dan and his crew did an outstanding job. The driveway runs next to the house for part of its length, which made slopes and drainage a critical issue. Dan worked with me to verify that all the drainage requirements were met before each pour. The driveway curves between two 100 year old trees and Dan took great care not to damage the trees. We have had numerous comments from friends and neighbors on what an elegant curve the new driveway has. The finish on the concrete was excellent and the crew left the jobsite neat, backfilled and graded. Dan and his crew started the job on a Monday and stayed on our driveway until it was completed on Thursday night. Dan stayed true to his quote with no hidden charges. The best part is that Dan was here directing his crew every day. Best experience I have had with a contractor in a long time."
