"So Disappointed. Chris Binion, the owner of Spectrum Roofing in Metairie was a friendly and responsive man during the sales process. Unfortunately, he disappeared after our roofing permit inspection failed. Per the St. Tammany parish inspectors and officials, he failed to submit the appropriate geo photos to them, demonstrating a proper roof with 2 layers of underlayment, etc. One unfortunate result of Spectrum Roofing's sub-par work is that we are now unable to renew our property insurance or sell the house. We can only assume that Chris did not install our roof properly. I'm fact, the parish told me this is the first permit application they have on file from Spectrum Roofing. So in addition to reporting Chris to the Louisiana State Licensing Board, It seems we now have to hire a new roofer to both remove Spectrum's failed roof and then reinstall a new roof. This time, I will not pay until I have a final roofing permit in hand. A hard lesson to learn."

FAQs for flat, foam, or single ply roofing installation and replacement projects in Pearl River, LA

Many roofing pros point to PVC as the top performer on flat roofs thanks to its tough seams and long-term waterproofing. A properly installed PVC membrane can last 30 years or more, resisting ponding water and harsh weather with ease. You will pay more up front than you would for EPDM, but the added durability often translates into fewer repairs and a lower cost per year of service.

Yes, a rubber roof is an environmentally friendly choice. Most rubber membranes contain recycled content and can reflect heat, which helps trim cooling bills in hot weather. Manufacturing has a lighter footprint than many traditional materials, and the long lifespan means fewer tear-offs headed to the landfill. If sustainability is a priority, ask your roofer about brands that carry third-party eco-certifications and confirm they meet local environmental standards.
