Customers say: Super punctual

"Rick and his crew transformed my jungle of a backyard into a nice, neat patio encircled by mulch where I can have plants I want and not the mass of weeds I had. I was pleased with the results."

Customers say: Quick response

"I agreed to the terms and cost that they communicated. They also said they would send the formal proposal which I have never received. I have left several voicemails and at least 30 texts with no response. Just this morning I called and the call was answered and all I heard was the owner talking to someone else. I have never seen any company that has been so hard to contact and will not communicate after making a quote and having it accepted. Since this is my experience using Angi I am woefully disappointed. I have received another quote ,which is close to twice as much as the quote from CW, that I am going to accept. I hope my experience is better. If you would like to discuss in more detail feel free to call me. "

Customers say: Quality work

"Marty and his team were awesome to work with and very professional. On time and the value they delivered was best in class! Neighbors and strangers that pass by have stopped and asked who did our driveway all the time which is a testimonial of their work quality in its self! The swirl design they put created makes our driveway stand out vs. the boring straight brush look you see from most contractors! I highly recommend Marty and Warrior Concrete!!!!!!!"

"June 2025 retaining wall and steps....Upon first meeting seemed knowledgeable and professional....once on site...different story. More than one 'not my faults' one such example was a hole in foundation due to pulling out rebar....out of pocket...$300 cash to fix....unless I wanted to write a check....then it would have been $450 or $500....what??? Side note...we had the cinder block that was used to fill in the whole ....we ended up putting another row and a half on the retaining wall ourselves....steps were not properly sealed ...was not going to write a review but here it is September and already the steps are apart from the foundation....crack all the way down the side..NO on so many levels...so disrespectful that he was told to get off our property"

"Zach mis measured a foundation on step #1, made the wood structure fit in the cheapest and laziest way. Concrete pillars were supposed to be hidden under the shed (I also supplied a drawing from another contractor to go by) and they now extend past so I am not able to just easily landscape around them as well as some of the brackets literally hanging off of the pillars. A couple of the concrete screws did not draw down all the way, a normal person would find out why and fix but nope they left it this way, pictures in the link!! The foundation was not square and it is to wide as well due to this mistake. I also had to shim multiple areas due to the foundation not being level. He promised to come back and help with some landscaping and some sort of flashing on the back to help hide the mistakes and most importantly keep water off the wood, I even had him give me a paid receipt saying he will return to help and then disappeared. I have linked pictures and a video of the terrible workmanship. Would not recommend. A follow up and help with some of the landscaping would have been very appreciated. { Removed google link}"

FAQs for retaining wall installation projects in Penn Hills, PA

With proper design and construction, stone retaining walls can last anywhere from 50 to 200 years. They're built to withstand soil pressure and environmental factors, especially when reinforced with geogrid and constructed on solid foundations. Using quality materials and skilled professionals ensures your retaining wall will be durable for decades.

You can choose between natural stone and stone veneer for your project. Natural stone offers timeless durability and character, while stone veneer provides a sleek, modern look and is lighter to install. Both options are strong and provide good drainage. Consider your budget, maintenance preferences, and design goals to decide which material is best for your wall.

Choosing the right masonry professional is key to ensuring your stone wall stands the test of time. Be sure to check that the contractor has valid licenses and certifications, and a strong track record of quality work. Look at their past projects and read customer reviews. Meeting them in person and getting detailed quotes will help you make an informed decision. Taking these steps will help you find an expert who can build a sturdy and beautiful wall for your home.
