"Hayden and Mark F did a great job! I am pleased with their work! My driveway is now level again as are my sidewalk and patio. They had large voids underneath and now feel stable and look great!"

"It went extremely well! They were always on time. They were very polite and knowledgeable at all times. All of their workers were very good workers. They did an extremely good job. They were done in a matter of 2 days. We dealt with James, he was very professional and knowledgeable. Thank you Mr. Level for a job well done. We would hire them again if we need any concrete work done. We hired Mr. Level the same day that they were working on one of our neighbors sidewalk. We signed a contract on a Wednesday and the job was completed the very next day."

"Engineered Foundation Solutions was a pleasure to work with, from the owners Bob and Jeff who performed the inspection and planning, to Shannon who coordinated the project and kept in weekly contact, to Brian who oversaw the work, and his crew. They were professional, courteous, informative and hard workers. They completed the job on time despite a few surprises underground, rain, and a holiday weekend. The price they quoted was a little higher than the other two estimates we received, but the degree of expertise and professionalism was well worth that price, particularly for an expensive and long lasting investment in our home. I wish they did all things house related, I would hire them for everything."

"Cody and team installed a 20’ x 50’ tinted, exposed aggregate driveway with a metal water trough to conduct water to a sump. Installation was great: slope matched existing steps and also eliminated water pooling regions that existed from the prior driveway. Also installed a matching 50’ walkway of equal quality. Cody listened to my needs and revisited to discuss my concerns to ensure I would be satisfied with his work. During installation, I observed Cody contemplating how he was to accomplish desired end result, which I interpreted as dedication to achieving my objectives. Quality counts in a project that you expect to last for years. Several months later, I had need of the replacement of the chimney crown. Although I wasn’t sure - at the time- that Calfo Construction performed such work, I called Cody’s office and spoke with Gina, a very pleasant individual. Cody came out and his team replaced the crown in short order. To the point, I am satisfied with the work performed by Calfo Construction and I would recommend Calfo for your consideration."

"For my project, Gino and his employees built a new concrete driveway, sidewalks, and steps; applied an overlay for my front stoop; and built a Versa-Lok retaining wall. Gino and his employees communicated very respectfully to my husband, me, and neighbors. Their work was very conscientious. I think that their work looks very, very nice."

"Getting on the schedule took a couple of months, but WOW, was the wait ever worth it! Rick called on a Monday to see if he could start on Wednesday. By the time I came home on Tuesday, all the destruction was complete! When I came home on Wednesday, the pouring was done, the sidewalk, entrance stairs, house path and front porch patio! I just couldn't believe how quickly the tree and tree roots were removed and a new, beautiful entrance to my house was complete."

"The owner contacted me 40 minutes after posting. He arrived at my house 2 hours later. He measured the project and quoted me a price two ways, asphalt and concrete. The upgrade for concrete was reasonable, so that's what we went for. A few days later, we signed the contract with 1/3 down-payment. The crew arrived a few days later and demolition began. All work was completed within a reasonable time with only one rain day. We paid an additional 1/3 half way through and the final payment on the last day. Overall, we are pleased with the outcome. We do have two low spots that are holding rainwater. This won't be an issue once we build the carport. The owner gets an A for excellent and honest communication. The crew gets a B... a few no-shows, cellphone use and footprints on fresh concrete. Ours was a huge, complex and challenging concrete job. Peyton was able to pull it off and give us what we asked for!"

"Our floor has been slanted since we moved into our home. We contacted Aquaguard for an estimate, and they walked us through exactly what they wanted to do to stabilize our floor. We went with them because of the walk through of the c-channel they installed during the estimate process. Everything went well. Our floor is raised and stabilized. It is not perfectly level, but we just did not want to end up in our basement. The guys that came were great, and we would hire them again."

FAQs for concrete injection leveling mudjacking projects in Penn Hills, PA

Mudjacking and foam jacking differ significantly in both materials and methods. Mudjacking uses a cement-based slurry to fill voids beneath a slab, while foam jacking uses expanding polyurethane foam delivered under high pressure to achieve superior structural support. This material distinction enhances load-bearing strength and overall stability in your repair.

Mudjacking takes between one and three days to dry completely. During this time, it's important to avoid putting weight on the slab until it's fully cured. The drying time depends on the project size and environmental conditions. In contrast, polyurethane foam used in foam jacking can cure in as little as one hour.

No, mudjacking is not a permanent fix for sinking concrete. While it effectively lifts the slab and can last five to 10 years, it doesn't address underlying soil issues that may cause future sinking. For a more permanent solution, you might consider foam jacking or complete slab replacement, which can address deeper structural problems.
