"Materials were ordered swiftly, and the team organized their subcontractors to complete the sequential work in as little time as possible. Most importantly, Sam, Anthony and project manager Adryan were on site every day coordinating the work and reachable within a moment's notice. In a very short three and a half weeks in August, the Universal team completed the complex plan.  New Pennsylvania fieldstone masonry work at the base of the home was installed first, including a new retaining wall.  A brand new timber tech rear deck was built.  Twelve new windows were installed.  All new James Hardie siding was installed and a substantial nine by twelve foot front portico completely transformed the front of the home.  Large scale reno is inexorably daunting, but the Universal team was communicative throughout the process. "Not only did Five Star do our siding, they installed stone on our porch and replaced rotten wood. It was hard to find a company to complete all the work we required. They did it all, and our house looks beautiful. After a bunch of companies either could not do all of the work, or just never bothered to get back to us with estimates, working with Five Star was a pleasure. "Siding is beautiful. Gutters are nice. Our 2 day job took 2 weeks to complete. During install an exterior electrical box needed to be maneuvered so Siding could go behind it. This threw off electrical to a building that was tied to that outlet. No response from the warranty team other than pay an electrician to fix us and forward the bill for reimbursement. I asked for this in writing and got nothing. The gutter pitch is off and we were guaranteed it would be fixed with the installation of the new gutters. It was not and water drains directly onto an electrical outlet. The warranty dept is radio silent. The billing team was very quick to send us reminders, the bill, and more reminders."

Hiring contractor is always a headache and I always nervous about it, but Jim Rhubart Roofing (namely Munz Roofing) did such a great job repairing my wooden siding! And best part whole process completely stress free. They didn't charge a penny in advance, they called scheduled appointment and told me I didn't even have to be home for the whole project. This was great because I was away for weekend. They brought materials, then came to install them next day. When I got back everything was done and better than new. Then they sent me bill next day and i was happy to pay it. It was extremely fair price too (I got several contracts who wanted 3x more for the same job). I'll be be using them in the future for sure!"

"The contracted the work off to a third party. Jon took longer than expected. The windows was installed pretty good from the looks. Communication could have been better with knowing the job will take longer and what types of trims I wanted for the windows. As the contractor that was hired for this job by this company. Did a good job with putting up decent trim. As for the new windows they look great. I purchased the myself and hired sentri homes to install them. I will need to have a my siding on my house redone to be closer to the new windows so the gaps are not so obvious. That was not expected at first. But from old storm windows and not knowing how they were put in originally. There was some unknown things that was learned from the job being completed. I will have the siding of the house slightly done to match really good for what I wanted later on. My only concern is better communication with sentri homes. Overall they were great when I did talk to them."
