"My wife and I just had Oakland give us a quote, plan and then install, pour, a 8.5 cubic yard patio after removing the trex deck that it was time to retire around our inground pool. After removal of the deck it was discovered that there was electrical work that needed to be rerun to our pool pump house and a Jacuzzi we were replacing. This they had no problem incorporating into the job without batting an eye. Communication was good. And from the plan, to scheduling, to actually accomplishing the task, considering the bad weather we were having, everything was done professionally, and on time in spite of whatever obstacles were thrown in the way. The crew was professional and courteous, and went out of their way to protect all that was necessary around what they were doing. They went out of their way to meticulously clean up the job and ensure everything was to our complete satisfaction before calling it done. All was done in a timely manner in spite of the atrocious weather they had to work around and through in getting it finished. "JR Freed was recommended to me by a co-worker to remove the existing 13 year old deck and replace it with low maintenance Trex Decking.  I checked the companies web site and was impressed to say the least - I wondered if they even worked on projects as small as mine.  Several of their show case projects on line ranged between $20K - to $60K.  Jason, the owner, came out to give an estimate.  We hit it off great with a lot in common.  He was willing to take some time with me about the project and how he saw the dimensions working out.  We talked about the Trex material and how to maintain it.  We then talked about his work ethic.  He said they do any size job so that a non issue.  He tells his teams that every job is just as important as the next and the last - he expects every job to be done correctly and look great.   He said he was very much a perfectionist.  And the teams know that and work that way.  He does work with the guys but just as a helper when he drops by the different projects to see how things are going and if they need anything.  He also showed me other project on his tablet and one could only be impressed.  I felt he was honest and I was going to get superior work from him.  I was not disappointed!  The removal of the old deck was done in one day and the footers were poured.  After that set up o/n, the basic framing was completed.  Another teamed took over after that and even worked on a Saturday to get caught up.  On Saturday, Jason came by to see how things were going and help out for a while - he had his son with him, about 4-5 years old.  I'm sure he rather be some place else but he took the time through the whole process of my deck construction to stop by and check on the progress. <br /> For the above reasons, I can, without qualification, highly recommend Jason and JR Freed Construction.  They are an honest, hard working group that will do a great job for you!!! <br />"
