"Working with Tri-State Complete Home Repair was a wonderful overall experience. Tim ensured that the best, most reliable professionals were assigned to my basement remodel job, and he always went above and beyond to ensure that I was satisfied with the end product. Richard and Andy also did phenomenal work on my basement, doing everything from pouring new concrete footers to installing new metal support beams, adding stability to my home and buying me valuable piece of mind. They did this while meeting the specific criteria that we had negotiated beforehand, and even took a few opportunities to deliver additional things that I did not even originally ask for (removing newly unnecessary walls, removing shelving, etc.), at no extra cost. Very cool, kind folks. Halfway through my basement remodel, I also identified a need for a boiler repair - Tim got someone on the job within days, and my boiler is now quieter than it has ever been. Highly recommend this company!"

"The first time the technician came and eliminated the problem . After a month I noticed another area around a different site near the light fixture. I was getting a new door and another wasp nest was noted by the door installers. I had a follow-up charge within 30 days to eliminate the problem. I appreciate the professional treatment of the technician to the problem . The lesser charge for the follow -up was an added bonus."

"Cody completed all jobs as requested. He replaced the undersink water filter for me; changed out a doorknob; tightened the towel racks in the bathrooms as well as changing the showerheads in both; installed door stop magnets; replaced the light fixtures in my curio cabinet; added a shelf to the closet in my office. Additionally I mentioned to him that I had called a plumber for a toilet problem but he knew how to fix that as well so I ended up calling the plumber back to cancel that appointment"

"I had Outdoor Lighting Perspectives install our system years ago but it has been the service after that I am writing this review about. A couple years ago I had a bulb burn out and paid to have a replacement sent to me to install myself. Instead they happened to be in the area and just replaced it for me. More recently I was having an issue where my lights in the back weren't coming on. Rather than make me pay for a service call, they sat on the phone with me for 10 minutes to troubleshoot different things. Problem fixed and nothing charged. Highly recommend."

"In general did a good job.  Showed up on time and got started promptly.  Cleaned up well after themselves.  Fast and efficient.  Only negatives were one small window & storm that was overlooked.  They also had a problem with one of our curtain rods that required some DIY repair on my part.  Not clear whether it was actually a rod failure or if a part was broken due to inexperience on worker's part, but am willing to give them benefit of the doubt since the rest of the job/experience went well. <br /> Price seemed pretty competitive and they squeezed me into their schedule just prior to Thanksgiving holiday..  Would hire again.  <br /> <br />"

Hey, I'm Lance! I became a professional online portrait artist in 2006 after my family was taken from me in a tornado losing my mother, father, brother, and son. Twenty-eight lives were taken as well as all their possessions, like mine. I drew from destroyed photos their families so they could have memorial portraits of them at the funerals and for the rest of time. Since then I have made a living traveling the country doing shows and drawing from photos you email me on line. There is NO GIFT more unique that brings more tears of joy to a loved one's eyes like one of these. Nothing. I've seen it time and time again. I make it affordable to anyone who's ever wanted one of these. Paintings with half the detail of these can cost upwards of $30,000 limiting something like this from hanging in living rooms for families to the rich only. Not anymore. Here's how it works.. \n Simply email me your favorite picture or pictures to aarontristan39@gmail.com with a brief description of what you would like done. The bigger and clearer the picture the better the drawing. I will start an initial sketch right away and take pictures of it and show it to you. Please email them quickly if possible, because the holidays are coming and I get busy. Once the initial sketch is done. I usually take something down on it. It's a lot of work doing the initial sketch. This varies on the cost of the drawing which we will discuss right away. \n Drawings are usually 175 for 9x12's \n 225 for 11x14's \n 275 for 14x17's \n After this process is done I continue with your art piece sending you photos on line all the way through which many people find a lot of fun. I am also friends on Facebook with almost every person I've ever drawn for as well and would like to be your friend as well if you would like that. I post them on FB at your discretion. It makes me way more legit to people as well. \n The Prices vary with the art because of the size of the drawing as well as the number of faces. The number of faces DOES NOT double the cost. Usually an extra face is added depending on the size from anywhere between 25 and 50, but I do deals on these more than anything, so please call me about it at .(850) 691-3976

"Great. We are extremely happy with the way the lawns look. The person who does it is Tyler and he is great. Always explains to us exactly what is going on and if there were unwanted grass or weeds he explains what it was and what he did to treat it. We could not be happier with Tyler or our lawn. Looks terrific. Had lawn irrigation done at end of 2019 too and they did a great job."

FAQs for holiday lighting add or remove projects in Petersburg, KY

If climbing ladders or handling wiring isn’t in your comfort zone, hire a pro. Look for installers who post clear per-foot or hourly rates, carry insurance, and have solid reviews. Comparing at least three quotes helps you spot fair pricing without sacrificing safety. Skipping credentials to save a few dollars can cost you far more in repairs, so pick a qualified team and enjoy a safe, eye-catching display.

Yes, booking between February and September often scores lower rates because demand is light and pros have open calendars. You might even negotiate a discount package that includes removal or storage. If the budget is tight, ask whether a handyperson or an off-season permanent-light install makes sense for your home and timeline.

Determining the number of holiday lights for your house depends on your home’s size and specific decorative vision. Your project requires 10 to 20 light strands for a basic exterior display, with 100 lights allocated for eaves and an additional 10 to 20 bulbs for each awning.

For trees and substantial shrubs, allocate five to 10 strands per unit to achieve complete and balanced illumination across your property.

Tipping isn’t mandatory, but it’s a nice way to thank your installer for a job well done. Most homeowners offer 10% to 20% of the total bill or round up to an even figure if the crew exceeds expectations. A small extra goes a long way toward showing appreciation—and may help you snag priority booking next season.

Yes, you can install holiday lights yourself if your property layout is straightforward and your electrical system is secure. Homeowners who are confident in their ability to safely handle wiring and use proper equipment can save money with a DIY approach.

However, it is crucial to test all outlets thoroughly and secure the proper ladders and safety gear before starting. Careful planning and adherence to safety guidelines are essential to protect yourself and your home while achieving an attractive display.

Start by clearing the area of loose debris, damaged shingles, and anything that could trip you up. Test outdoor outlets and, if you’re unsure, bring in an electrician. Use a sturdy extension ladder (or scaffolding for very high spots) and never work alone—having a helper steady the ladder is non-negotiable. Taking these simple steps keeps you, your roof, and your new lights safe.
