My father is 86 years old with dementia living in this house with the nurse and the heat keeps dropping down to 58° and they tell me they can?t be out there for five days, today is Thursday and they can?t make it out there till Tuesday. Shan-Gri-La Sod Farm is family-owned and operated that started in 1939 as a poultry farm in Willow Grove, PA by my Grandfather Dewey H. Bunch, Sr. In 1967 my father, Dewey H. Bunch, Jr., purchased our farm in beautiful Bucks County, PA and began growing sod. My brother, sisters, and I all worked side by side in the fields with my mother and father learning about the importance of family and hard work, as well as the commitment required to establish and maintain a successful small family business.
