"Bill, the owner, was extremely thorough and knowledgeable. He did an excellent job replacing the liner for our above ground pool. He also did some extra things he noticed at no extra cost. I would highly recommend Spartan to anyone who needs work done on pool. It was very refreshing to find someone who still takes pride in their work these days."

"I was very happy with the solution Alden came up with. I had spoken to another landscaping company and an engineer, and their solutions were not feasible. Alden's solution was both reasonable to carry out and effective. His solution had three parts: adding soil to change the grade so that water would run away from the house, adding an exterior drain pipe to catch the water and deposit it downhill from my house, and removing a brick flowerbed that was trapping the water so that it would not flow away from my house. The drain pipe was installed at ground level and just empties out onto the hill beneath my house. This was so simple I am surprised this did not occur either to me or anyone else. (I did not mind losing the flowerbed since I am not a gardener and honestly it just added another chore I was glad to be rid of.) Alden also noticed that my outdoor AC unit was about to topple over and added soil to level out the ground beneath the pad on which the AC rested. In general, I found Alden to be experienced in rain and groundwater management, creative in coming up with solutions, professional, and easygoing. His workers were nice and worked efficiently. And I am convinced that this is the best way for most homeowners to effectively waterproof their basement -- using soil grading and ground-level drain pipes to keep rainwater running along the ground away from the house; I think this is more effective and less intrusive than interior water proofing, and that the common method you see of digging to the foot of the foundation and installing the drain pipe there, then backfilling with gravel is unnecessary unless the water problem is that it is actually coming up from below ground rather than that it is running along the ground toward the house."

"I continue to be very impressed with Schumacher for a number of reasons. We initially hired them for paver resanding/maintenance a year ago. Incredible results. They then did our Fall clean up, and now the Spring landscaping, pruning and planting. The quality of work and attention to detail is second to none. Especially thankful to Lee who coordinates our desires into a working plan. We take pride in our home in which we have invested blood sweat and tears now for 27 years. I do not exaggerate by saying Schumacher has made my wife and I feel they care as much about our home as we do."

"We are very pleased with the work Bob did.  Backsplash looks great  and the wife is happy so that makes me happy.  He was very professional and friendly.  He said with his schedule it would take two- 1/2 days to complete project but as will happen there was a scheduling snag and he completed the work on the backsplash in 1 day to avoid inconviencing us.  <br /> We are in talks with Bob to do some more work around the house.    <br /> <br />"

"They did a great job.  They told me the job would take 3-4 days.  They took 2.  Looking back, I think I paid for 3-4 days of labor and since they were here less, maybe the price should of been less... <br /> But like I said, they did a great job though and worked around a lot of challenges, so I appreciate it.  All the guys were very nice and respectful.  We love our new patio. <br />"

FAQs for water feature fountain or waterfall installation projects in Philadelphia, PA

Installing a drinking fountain costs between $500 and $1,000 for indoor models and an average of $3,000 for outdoor units, including installation. The cost depends on the design, materials, and professional labor involved, with service rates ranging from $45 to $200 per hour. Investing in a drinking fountain can enhance your space's functionality and aesthetic appeal.

A water fountain increases home resale value by elevating curb appeal and enhancing overall property aesthetics. A well-cared-for fountain that matches the home’s design and functions flawlessly boosts buyer confidence and market desirability. Routine maintenance and professional installation ensure proper performance, ensuring that your fountain benefits both daily enjoyment and long-term resale value.

Maintaining a fountain costs $25 to $50 per month for basic upkeep and $50 to $150 for professional deep cleaning or servicing. A fountain of any size requires routine draining, thorough cleaning of the pump, tubing, and surface, plus regular inspections for wear, algae, or mineral deposits. Annual maintenance and sealing further extend its lifespan and enhance its appearance.

How much power your water fountain uses depends on the pump’s size and operating schedule. Smaller fountains use less than 10 watts per day, while larger cascade pumps can require up to 1,000 watts. This translates to an average increase of around $25 per month on your electric bill.

Water fountain installation takes anywhere from a few hours to several days. The installation timeline depends on the fountain’s design, site preparation requirements, and the involvement of professional plumbing and electrical services. Prefabricated water features are set up in a few hours, while custom designs require additional structural and aesthetic modifications and take much longer.
