The part he used cost only $66 at Home Depot, and I ended up paying a licensed plumber an additional $725 to fix the job and bring it up to code. This was not only a case of overcharging?it was unlicensed and unsafe work. When I asked for a refund, he ignored me. Extremely unprofessional and unethical.
