He said he always wanted to estimate high and only charge what was required. He showed up a few minutes early and repaired the door without a problem. His actual charge was $75.

"Well, I had created a shanty addition of our fence taking old used panels I had gotten years ago. But wind and poor construction on my part made the rickety mess fall apart on numerous occasions. I saw that John had gotten a good review here and decided to get a bid. I also asked about a number of other issues with our place. He was very accommodating and friendly. He really listened and seemed to understand what I wanted. I wanted to re-use the panels but put them back "right". He worked with someone else and got it done in record time. He wanted me to choose the hardware for the gate, but I let him pick it, and he exceeded my expectation. We had a snow storm a few days prior to work and I figured that would delay the whole project - but it didn't and he and his partner worked with my odd requests and specifications and old fence panels without complaint or issue, and finished the job the next day. I figured it would take a week. I'm very pleased with the results."
