"We hired Alex and The Home Group team to install synthetic grass with natural stone boarder in a section of our front yard that was originally natural grass that was continually stressed. The upgrade also included installing a 12 ft. x 3 ft. oval area which was filled with small stones with three Agave cactus, and this border was also made of natural stone. Alex was extremely professional, personable and very knowledgeable about landscaping upgrade projects. He was very willing to listen to my project design and added very insightful suggestions to maximize the appearance and longevity of the project. I was extremely impressed and couldnâ t be happier about the details of preparation before and during the project, as well as the appearance of the final project. It is very difficult to find contractors who are so professional, knowledgeable, personable and willing to perform custom upgrade work, while having the integrity to do high quality work, without have to watch over their shoulder to make sure they are doing what was proposed. Alex and his team are extremely dedicated, competent and committed to doing quality custom landscaping work to the satisfaction of the home owner. We are extremely satisfied and comfortable with the investment we made with this landscape upgrade project. As a side note, Alex and his team installed a putting green in our back yard in June 2021 and today it looks just like the day they installed the synthetic turf. As a result of the quality work that Alex and the Home Group team did, was the reason I relied on them to do the front yard landscape upgrade they just completed. Alex and the Home Group Team are one of very few contractors that you can establish and decide on the design requirements and walk away knowing the project will be done exactly as proposed, whether you are present or not. "The quote process went well. Carlos is very knowledgeable about the trees and processes. The quoted cost was much 50%than other Arborists (which is different than a tree trimmer). When I asked why the price was high, The response was "I am offering a premium pruning, which consist of raising canopies, interior thinning, reduce away from home, balancing trees, deadwood, mistletoe and broken limbs removed, most importantly the Selective Pruning on the higher parts of tree that is strongly recommend." Based on this response, I hired them to do the job. They did a good job of installing the tree brace and cable system. They also did a nice job of pruning the Live Oak. However, the other 2 trees were given a very minimal trimming. Asked for them to return and complete the "Premium", They came back the next day and did the job completely. The trees now look great. In summary, they are capable, quick, knowledgeable and expensive, and may under-prune unless you are very clear on your instructions."

"Freddy and Asusano are some very patient and intelligent when it comes to this. The day they cam out to bid they didn?t find it complicated at all to do my project our land isn?t that even and previous contractors were all saying I needed more dirt and recommended I expand. What did that tell me? They wanted more money. Freddy had the idea of just adding some steps to the side. That way I could have easier access to the back door of my shop! To me that was true customer service and integrity which unfortunately lacks in multiple construction companies. I will have these guys come out in a few weeks to do some work at my daughters house"

"The old patio was over-graded and sloped steeply away from our house. One of my big concerns was for the new patio to be as level as possible. Brandon Chaney and his foreman were very attentive and addressed this and other concerns and the patio in a word is awesome. "After we purchased a 10-year old residential estate on 3.3 acres, Stenson Landscaping was hired in January 2016 to solve the sever drainage issues, upgrade/repair the irrigation system and renovate almost the entire landscape. After considering incomplete advice and proposals from a professional civil engineer and several landscapers who claimed to be drainage experts, James Doyle, co-partner of Stenson Landscaping, was hired to design and install a drainage system to eliminate standing water around the residence. The effective drainage system encompasses a network of approximately 750 linear feet of French drains emptying into two high-performance sump pumps. Afterwards, standing water from rain and irrigation runoff, which was killing plants and trees, was totally eliminated. The residential irrigation controller was replaced by a smart commercial controller with a flow meter to control 26 zones. James, an expert in commercial irrigation solutions, supervised his crew in repairing zone valves and heads. In addition, he prepared a zone chart and zone map of the system. When sensing low-flow alarms caused by blockages and high-flow alarms caused by broken heads, the smart controller dispatches alarms via email to both the property owner and James. The controller can be controlled locally or remotely from a smart phone or computer. Accessible historical data is also continuously recorded. Existing and new beds were essentially planted with new perennials and evergreen plants. Approximately 50 red cedar trees were planted around the perimeter of the property for a screen. Other trees and large shrubs planted were live oak, redbud, crepe myrtle, Japanese maple and holly. Furthermore, Stenson Landscaping install a beautiful stone paving walk and garden patio, driveway stone borders and plant bed stone borders. In addition, they installed bases for statuary and installed plants and drip systems into pottery. After more than one year, James has proactively replaced dead plants and trees without hesitation under warranty. In addition, Stenson Landscaping professionally maintains the entire property under an annual contract to mow, trim, fertilize, weed and insect spraying, etc."
