"I contacted M and J roofing about a leak. Lous response was quick and after inspecting my roof responded with urgency. I had many roofs installed over the past several years none of which seem to work due to the pitch. The most recent roof I put on was a metal roof, which was the source of many of the problems. After Lou inspected it he told me what needed to be done and after agreeing on the contract he started immediately. They are prompt and professional and both him and his son Nick are two of the kindest human beings I ever met. They told me they'd be here at 8:00 a.m. and they were here before that, they started at 8:00 and we're done by the end of the day. Lou and Nick kept me posted each step of the way and during the removal of the metal roof they showed me what went wrong and explained why it went wrong. In short it was because of companies or people that install roofs that don't care about their work that care about ripping off unsuspecting customers. That is why in closing I will say M and J roofing should be the only and I am stressing only company anybody should want to do any work on their roof."

"L&L made several visit including Saturday and Sunday to evaluate the job and made several suggestions as to the best way to replace the roof without any damage to the interior of our house. They promised to pick a good day to do the job and complete the job in one day. They arrived at about 7:30 AM with a crew of about 10 workers and had the complete roof replaced and the yard completely cleaned up before 4:30 PM. This included new lead flashing for the chimney and replacing 2 sheets of plywood. In addition they guaranteed the workmanship of the roof for as long as we owned the house. We had no problems at all.

"Roofing its something no home owner ever wants to do, but most have to go through. I won't even lie I wasn't even planning on getting a new roof, but Dale Knocked on my door and thats where the process started. My roof did go through insurance & aside from signing paper work/paying my deductible A1 handled everything. Obviously specific details from the insurance goes to you and then given to A1. Its not a short process and there is paperwork you have to sign, but all In all it did take me about 4 to 5 months where the process was started to roof replacement. Dale handled interactions with showing my the conditions of my roof and how to go about getting it put through the insurance. The only hiccup was that I have solar panels and I did feel like they where taken down to early (almost 5 months off), but I made my concerns known and one of the Managers called me and credited me $500 bucks (100 per month) that the panels where off. They did tell me setbacks in productions and things happen, but made me happy by giving me this credit. Didn't fight me on it, and didn't make me feel like I was just an insurance check on the other end. You can trust A1 home improvement with your home. I would like to thank Dale for his work & all the others that helped me throughout one of the most stressful process there can be for a house."

"Chris and his crew did a great job with the roofing, skylight replacement, and the gutter replacement. We were well informed of the process and caveats. And the prices are the best among the three quotes we had Would recommend. They are located in Danbury, but serve Westchester area as ell."

"This is a continuation of my Jan.2014 review. In April we agreed to begin the work of replacing the roof and damaged gutter. They came and removed the old roofing, replaced any rotten wood decking and installed the new shingles and the new fascia board and gutter. They were very efficient and cleaned up when they were finished. Fast forward to Nov.2017 he came out to replace a piece of siding that had blown off in a windstorm."

"Had the guys round from Leoâ s roofing to inspect my roof after a sudden storm had caused us severe leakage they were quick to find the problems and to resolve them thanks a lot guys."

"D&M best homes and Construction was very fast and efficient when setting up our new roof. Not long after meeting and setting everything up, they were out to install our roof. The installation only took one day, and the roof looks fantastic. We've noticed a huge difference with the temperature of our 2nd floor after the installation. We are very satisfied with the roof, and the team that installed it."

"Owner takes great pride on having job completed on time and within budget which it was. Very impressed with how clean the site was at the end of each day. Roof looks great and would use for other offered services."

"Sergio (the owner) was amazing. Answered all questions and was very punctual. Installers were top notch; they were quick, and very easy to go ever questions with. Quality orientated team that worked with us nonstop and went above and beyond to give. Us the house that we wanted w/out any hidden or additional charges."

"Here's my story. I built most of my home and roofed or reroofed it over the last 30 years. It was time to the entire house once more. I've reached the point where I had no interest in hauling shingles up a ladder on my "free" time. Enter Angieslist. I contacted some 8 roofers or roofing companies with reviews with "A" ratings. Yes I read the reviews. Some sent sales people to sell me on the materials. Some came to look it over. Few actually measured. Dave calls and says he can stop by a Sunday. Perfect. He's the only guy who actually goes up on my roof. I asked all the others. Not one felt the need to. Hmmm. I want to show them my problem areas. I did tell them I built a large part of my house. Nope they'll spitball it. I'm pretty picky about the work I have done. [Engineer by trade]. I also want the guy I talking with to be on site while the work is done. Sending me a salesman is not what I want. I don't care about warranties. Like I'm going to get into a lawsuit with GAF. Use quality, name brand materials and I'm good. I also don't need some college kid or other on my home. So long story short I hire Dave. He does everything and more. On time. Professional. Cleans up every day. I liked him so much that some siding needed replacement and he came back and did that between other jobs. My only gripe is that he's so popular [with good reason] that I had to wait a couple months. Wish he installed driveways..."
